Perdana V6

Hi.. I would like to know the FC (Fuel consumption) for a V6 mayb 97-01 version... and major problems faced using V6?? cause a fren of mine is trying to compare a CRV and Perdana's mantainance cost, FC etc and see weahter which is more worth his cash.. Thanks for all the HELP!!!

mine is 2001 perdana v6,rm100 can go for around 470.but mostly on long distance la.n im not sure bout the crv la.not much mantainance needed la,but depends on the car condition lo.

i heard from a car dealer that we can do somehting with the fuel consumption by modifying something in the engine... is it true?? whats tat something?? hahah thanks...

100 for 470km..not too bad... my other fren who owned a V6 say a month about RM500.. 06 model

is depend how u drive la,me not stuck in town much la,just travel long distance.for me the v6 is just nice.
but i not sure wat should modify to the enjin for fc saving la.i heard that they put a ngv sistem in naza ria,but it make the car underpower lo.
i think just by time u takecare bout ur car then shouldnt have much problem la.haha.somemore got more member in zth driving v6 ma,some might kindly give a hand when u need help.

I have a set of Perdana V6 Port & Polished Head for sale. Condition is good and clean. I've been using it for 7 months.

Reason selling, Change back to my original head as financial problem. It's suitable for both Manual & Auto Tranny.

I'm drivin an end-03 Perdana V6.
When I drove it stock tuned, full tank can go bout 450-480km, combination of normal driving n speeding.
My fren's CRV, Rm50 can only go 180km.
I think Perdana's FC is just fine for a 2-liter engine.
After I decat, changed my air intake structure n remap my ecu, I can go bout 180-190km in a Rm50 pump.

Mayb those Perdanas have problems. Mostly because the owner doesnt know how to maintain the car properly or mayb they did it wrongly.
Many encountered gearbox problems n all, but so far mine no prob.
Many Perdana owners drove their car for several years also no prob.
It's actually depends a lot on maintenance.

yaya mostly the gearbox problem.but get ur maintenance on time should b no problem,but i found that u guyz must use the toyota atf oil,coz it really diffrent frm other.i oreadi use it,feel the gearbox smooth.

mine is not that all good either. Previous owner didn't take care it and I didn't notice it that time... *sad*
well my car is a 2nd hand car ... alot of thing need to do. my gearbox also got problem but still ok ..repair it once.
exhaust coming out smoke ...suspect gasket wear off...
mine got the tappet sound ..really annoying... *sigh*
anything can be done ??
thinking to buy the engine treat oil to reduce or stop the smoke and the tappet sound .... or any other advise ??

ya mayb its expensive compare with other lower cc car,but for a 2.0 class machine it is consider save la.

to get better FC result use petronas for city driving.... and you can use shell for long distance driving..... shell fuel easy to vaporize ...... TESTED

agree on petronas 4 ct driving.. mine stock auto putra, full tank rm75-rm80 almost 550 - 600km..
