RM2k for normal detailing loh! Those Super cars go for coating can be 3 to 4 times more....:driver:

ROB can borrow, pads leh! is around RM50 each.....heh! heh!
Is like Rims and tyre. Rim you buy one time, tyres can finish, just like the pads they will wear off.....:burnout:

Oh ya hor, need to buy the pads. Can la. I pay for pads used. What brand to buy? Haha!

Just tried compound paste on the windscreen.
Tried applying pressure but still the watermark remain.Only some stain are removed.

Any other household chemical i can use?

I just finish doing the whole windscreen and apply a layer of water repellent thing.
Maybe tomorrow install new wiper.Tesco does not seem to restock my fav wiper brand-Autohaus.
Reasonable price and very durable.

Sometimes need to do a few passes to remove the water marks.
The water marks on the sun roof of the ML350 I was doing was really bad, so need to use my acid again. Will post the pics when I upload them first....:smokin:

Can try vinegar also...:driver:

Just bought a bottle of waxco watermark remover.
if this does not work then have to sell the wira..hahahah.
My mum does not seem to fabor it recently over the Kenari.

I am starting to like it as the fc suddenly improve a lot.
I was suspecting a gauge malfunction but the gauge is good.
fc is better than before.

Is it Waxco Auto Clear Vision Compound? I got that too but more to remove Rain X.
Or if you have the acid base one like Tomcat be careful not to let it dry on the windscreen especially the front screen....:smokin:

No,its Waxco Auto Glass-Watermarks Remover.
Tried it in the afternoon on the Kenari and it worked well.
Still got some cant be removed but i bet a bit more elbow grease will do.
The wira was out so i only gpt to do it just now.

Too bad it does not work as well as on the Kenari. Most probably due to the wira being 4 years older than the Kenari.
Was a bit disappointed but still, better than nothin.
Will do again next morning or next week as sun angle is shining directly in front of the house,no place to hide from the heat.

Yup, sometimes need to do a few rounds. My VR first time when bought 2nd hand, the car was parked 24/7 in the open. The water marks have etched in for years. Even using the acid base cleaner I did like 4 rounds to remove completely....

Here are the pictures...terrible water marks on the sunroof

After clean with acid base cleaner

Compound polish might not be abrasive enough for remove etched in watermarks. M205 works but not completely as you can see from the results.

In my case, I tried autosol and toothpaste just to see if it could make a dent in deeply etched in watermarks on windshields which have never been addressed for many years. Autosol took too much work for just a small spot and did not work on the side windows (tempered glass), toothpaste did nothing. Something harder, more effective like cerium oxide was needed.

I bought the Profiline glass polish from the Sonax office to avoid waiting for a mail order. The lower range Sonax polish does not have cerium oxide I think. I used a plain cellulose sponge pad and alot of elbow grease to clear out all 6 windows by hand. I should have used a felt pad or something similar to make it easier. Rain repellent is now applied regularly to avoid having this problem in future.

Antirain and carpro ceriglass kits are other cerium products which might still be available online. Osren is only available from their KL shop I believe.
