wrapping extractor and piping

Wat is the best material to wrap?

u can buy those ready made one in accessories shop. cost u abt RM80
enuff for u to wrap the whole extractor.

r u staying in cold country? :lol: wrapping de extractor will insulate de heat from de exhaust gas so dat de engine bay is cooler mah...

well.. i read somewhere in this forum.. some ppl say if ur extractor too hot.. it might crack...

i mean when u finish wrapping how do u tie it or gum it or how hahah....

i've wrapped mine in asbestos tape before.
almost killed myself from breathing in all that dust.

fibreglass tape is more common, and safer, but must handle only with rubber gloves and mask on.
use stainless steel hose-clips to tie the ends.

wrap from the smallest to the biggest, i think.

well, after reading some artical. wrapping ur extr. is not a good thing. it will trap the heat inside and making the extr. hotter and can damage it.

Aroespeed thermal wrap will only cost you rm65. Bought it 99acc at bukit mertajam for ppl who live there la...

Btw that thermal wrap provide you will all the necessary things to wrap your exhaust. I didn't used it for wrapping my extractor but underneath it so the heat will not flow into the engine bay. It's not advisable for your to wrap your extractor but its up to you ma...
