Working on a Saturday

It's so unproductive.. too short a time to achieve anything important... too 'hung over' from previous nite activities... and it's like sailing along with the ticking of the clock instead of creating the flow...

I think the worst is Food and beverage line..Most deffiniatley cannot take off on weekends and public holidays...But hey if got public holiday got triple pay as well!! Heheh

my mom always advice my sisters, never ever married with people who open kedai runcit and kopitiam, coz hor, they open shop everyday! From early morning to late evening.
So dun complain if you work on Saturday. :D

PS: I never get a job that required me to work on Saturday. Coz it will spoiled my "GOOD" friday night :D

My company practices alternate Saturday off. I mean i'm in the sales line and let me tell you how silly and stupid it is to work on a Saturday. First, no customers would like to see you on Saturday. You won't have much to do in office except for typing a few mails, surfing ZTH, chatting with colleagues, reading newspapers and at most do some 20 mins paper work. Most of the time, we'll go in office, go out for breakfast, do nothing and go back. I think its wasting company's petrol, really. Even though its alternate Saturday but i still think its wasting time coz i see all if not most of my colleague do nothing too. Sometimes they even bring their dogs to office and even their kids. It must be THAT boring huh?

But i know my frens workplace has a compulsary Saturday attendance whereby the boss will take advantage to hold a meeting till 3 or 4 pm. Scrutinise their individual sales, pep talk their staff and at the end of the day, nothing has changed.

And the kids will run around, making the office their Saturday playground. :D

ok, it appears every one here (those who posted) says saturdays is a complete waste of productivity.

Whould you guys rather put in more solid work hours weekly + additional half hour (weekly also) to escape saturdays?
