Hi to Everyone,

I'm now driving Perodua Kancil and plan to change my car for a used Honda. I was planning to get Honda Accord Fifth generation (1994–1997) (Honda Accord - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) or to get Honda Civic Sixth generation (1996-2000) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_Civic%29.

Can any Honda expect give me advice on which car to buy?

After buying one of the cars, I want to mod the car to run with 180hp to 200hp and want NA engine and don’t want Turbo. Is there any engine transplant that can be done for this Honda car?

Please advice me which one of the Honda cars is better and which want can take 180hp to 200hp?

The accord is a nice option, and probably due to lesser demand.. probably a lot cheaper than the 6th gen civic (a.k.a EK). I don't monitor car prices, so I'm not sure exactly how much they are.

The accord body is heavier, so you can't expect the acceleration fun of bolting crazy power engines on light cars, but still can accelerate to surprise the usual folks like the PV6, and a host of other 2L-2.4L cars, if you plonk in a H22A and the engine is reasonably healthy (never plonk in an engine straight from a halfcut without changing the usual suspects like rubber seals and gaskets.. they'll pay in the long run..)

also be patient when searching for a halfcut... get it started up.. look at everything, esp. for leaks.. don't bother about the overall look of the valvecover or block... Those can be cleaned later on, and the valve cover resprayed.. In fact, I got mine resprayed, and it's actually 'nicer' than the stock paint.

If it is dry.. it's usually good news.. if it's wet with oil.. you might be looking at a slightly more expensive repair bill..

180-200hp very attainable with the accord, if you mean on horsepower on engine numbers, and the H22A has quite a list of aftermarket parts (though not from Japan) although the engine has it's quirks as well.. this one, I think H22A owners can say better.

Good luck, finally got yourself released from the clutches of having to drive super sub-compacts huh? :P

Edit.. sorry.. 5th Gen accords usually go for the F20B engine.. rated at 180 (auto) to 200hp (manual) at the engine.

Remember.. all second hand cars need repairs.. and if you do it right the first time.. you'll have trouble free ownership for at least the next 5 years. (if you don't drive the shit out of your car like mine.. :P)

Why not go for a B18C ? Plenty of mods for that engine.

Shiroitenshi, thanks for your advice  and now I know about Honda Accord. I thinking of getting 6th Gen Civic Sedan and putting in B16B (I think that is the Type R engine) because it has lighter body.

What type of engine is B16C, I know Honda don't have B16C engines. Another thing  , can a 1.6cc car have 200hp from a B16B engine after modding the engine?

i'm pretty sure if you have the finances to do it, it's easily attainable...

no turbo, but thought of supercharging? :D

Yes.. but probably not very road drivable.. and not very long lasting due to the fact that you need to rev the shit out of it to get that 200whp mark.

Big CC gets your target HP easier with less mods... with a 2.0, 200 hp is quite easy to attain if you talk about horsepower at the wheels.

1.8 is difficult, and not cheap.

1.6 is very difficult, and probably very expensive, and the engine won't be lasting as well.

Of course, turbocharging or supercharging is possible to get more than 200whp on a 1.6.. so that's an option if you want.. but the kits are not really cheap, if you mean buying kits..

If you go for the local ones.. probably a lot cheaper..

And the fact that forced induction is a roundabout way of 'artificially' generating displacement and increasing compression.. you will find fuel consumption also marginally higher, depending on output.

Remember 1ms of a 240cc injector and 1ms of a 300-400 injector and fuel volume output.. you yourself can imagine fuel consumptionlah.. :P

what is ur main aim actually? u wanna have car with big hp or u wanna have fast car?

like shiroitenshi mentioned, that big hp will be useless in a big body's car.

might as well u get light body Honda like CR-X or EF, and trust me 170-180 whp is more than enough for u that just shifted from Perodua Kancil (except is ur kancil is turbocharged and run 13s below).. and u still can maintain the driveability, economy fuel consumption and so on..

the accord and civics is in a very diff stakes..cruisers or jumpers?which one u want?katak [pisang or katak puru???ngehehe

I will like to get honda civic 6th gen like in the photo in the below link

http://www.jsc-trading.com/show_picture.php?stock_no=74&picture_id=a

I just want this car to accelerate fast and have 200hp, can the B16A or B16B engine be bore & stoke to 2.0cc?

Or is there any 2.0cc engine can be fitted to honda civic 6th gen engine bay?

I don't prefer honda accord because of the fact the car chassis is heavy, if there is a way to lighten the chassis, then I will go for honda accord.

it's all money matter ...

Hahaha.. that one looking at 'ori' 99 spec bodykit prices enough to make people flee already..

Even more powerful setup..
Honda EX5 with B16A engine..

u have to know..honda is very expensive to mod compare to kancil u know,so u gotta have quite a lot of budget if u wanna mod ur car....by the way, there is no B16c engine...only b16a,b16b,B18c...if i were u...i put a b20b block and match it with b16/b18 head, lsd gearbox and some minor mods on a civic..with the right tuning..it should be more faster than a accord with 200hp coz the accord is more heavier..

Hey guys, can honda civic EK4door (6th gen) put in B18C or B18C3 which comes from honda integra and will the engine mounting match?

I would like to put b20b into civic EK. The b20b block comes from Honda CR-V & Honda Orthia, can the engine mounting match to civic EK? I dont want problem from JPJ or is there a way to trick JPJ officer?
