Buying advice for 2013 or later Lancer

I'm considering purchasing a 2013 or later Lancer (SE, SE AWC, GT) used from a dealer, and I'm wondering if you could give some advice on things to look for when purchasing:

Is top overhaul needed for old cars?

Some say that old cars need to be done overhaul or at least top overhaul so that we can feel the engine like new.

Is this true?
