hi to all mazda/ford owners.
i new here.
i using a ford tx3 1991
wat models car brake caliper( a bigger one) can fit into my car.
should i change the disc too. any comment?
i thinking of convert engine to either b8 180 or b8 210
which one better.
as i know 210 is faster, but i heard the engine is harder to maintain.is it true?
is it easy to get jpj approved?wat the cost and duration?

zenspeed,

U can opted for FC or FD caliper and the disc need to change too.. also u need to custom the mounting bracket...

both 210 and 180 are easy to maintain, as long u dont itchi bum...go kacau this kacau that...

for approval is easier cox 1.8 to 1.8 ...u have 2 option
1) u go ur own...go to puspakom inspection and get the approval.. ( i think need to pay RM120)...
2) u let the runner to do...think about 250 to 300...( no hassle)

good luck my fren...

hi,

you can use the 210 caliper from n back modify to your tx3.

the front rotor is about 274mm n the back is 280mm is should be good enough for the breaking...

1.8-1.8 jpj i think it will spend about RM50 only. no need to inspection jus go jpj change the engine number will be good enough. :P

Any idea what other disc can fit into our's ???
I heard that the VR4 single pot ones are compatible...
Any comments ????

you can use the 4g93T GSR rotor disc. is 24mm n our rotor is 22mm. it will be nice to use.

tkk,
So what youre saying is that the GSR ones are a direct fit right, only need to drill the PCD...
If that's the case then the Proton 1.8 ones should fit too...

thanks to all of u. u all really sifu. i nearly wanted to give up my tx3, luckily i met u all.
u guys see a ford tx3 1990 using skyline r32 front head lamp and grill.
i wonder how much does it cost?
to all sifu can u all show me your car pic ahh?
so that i can combine them and keep in my wall paper
