Chassis Strengthening Technology

Why do we need a strengthened vehicle chassis? The chassis is the part which experiences the most of the abuse from the driver. Particularly due to the weight transfer of the vehicle body during fast cornering, hard braking or hard acceleration. In some instance, the weight transfer during cornering may cause one side of the vehicle experiencing as much as 3 times more force and the other side of the vehicle, causing enormous vehicle body deforming and twisting, consequently causing tires loosing grip. Deforming and twisting of a vehicle chassis during cornering may cause handling misbehavior such as understeer and oversteer. Strengthening and Reinforcing your vehicle chassis is our business, UR - the chassis people!
UNDERSTEER
As most of the cars, now-a-days, employ FF (Front engine, Front wheel drive) setup. The natural behavior of an FF car is to have a slight understeer, due to its heavier front end. Understeer happens when the front wheels lose their traction and won’t turn any sharper, even the steering being turned more. This will cause the car continues to turn in a wider corner. Understeer can be corrected by stiffen rear end of the vehicle by adding UR Rear Strut Bar and UR Rear Anti Roll Bar.
OVERSTEER
Oversteer is when the rear tires lose grip and causing the rear end of the vehicle slides out of a corner. This phenomenon happens particularly to a FR (Front engine, Rear wheel drive) or RR (Rear engine, Rear wheel drive) cars. Oversteer can be corrected by stiffen front end of the vehicle by adding UR Front Strut Bar and UR Front Anti Roll Bar.
CHASSIS FLEX
With a strengthened chassis, the vehicle will react better to tuning changes. The improvement is particularly obvious over a hard suspension setting. The chassis is also able to cope better after the engine upgrades and Braking System upgrades. A strengthened chassis, by UR Chassis Strengthening Technology, will also protect the vehicle platform to allow it to last longer under hostile conditions, especially for monocoque vehicle platform structure. UR basically consists of 7 types of bar which are:
Front Bar - Install at the front chassis for strengthening purpose. To eliminate all the noise and more stability during accelerating, hard driving and braking ( race track condition ).
Rear Bar - Install at rear chassis. Similar to the function of the front struts bar. The rear struts bar is use to support the rear section of the chassis, so that the force generated during hard braking and driving can be reduced
Fender Bar - Install on the left and right side of the vehicle wheel arch or fender. Fender bar can give extra support and strength to the chassis especially cornering.
Room Bar - To strengthen the upper middle part of the vehicle body, at the B-pillar area.
Rear Upper Bar - Basically the function of a rear upper bar is used to support the rear section of the chassis, so that forces generated during hard braking and driving can be reduced.
Anti Roll Bar - Anti Roll Bars (also known as anti-sway bars, sway bars or lower tie bars) affect the handling of the car on the lower end of the suspension.
Lower Arm Bar - It is installed at the lower mounting points between the left and right suspension and the vehicle chassis. Tremendously improving the stiffness at the area where the lower arm is connected to the vehicle chassis.
