Tweeter & Component Set Comparison

Hello ICE sifus,i have one simple question..I have bought a tweeter and 4'' co-axial 2 way in front of my car last time,now i am trying to change 4'' midbass and wired it with my tweeter..is that ok?..or i just buy a CO-Axial 2-way and disposed my tweeter..Component speaker is not allowed in my car due to door panel is kind to break off,more over they always come in 6.5'' component....

btw,just want to know if we buy the tweeter it self do it come together with crossover?or must buy a component and what the different crossover between this two(tweeter itself and component set)?..:hmmmm:

1) What car is yours (am wondering why ur door panel is breaking off)
2) you have a tweeter + 4"coaxial
3) you want to change 4" midbass wired with tweeter (no problem)
4) buy coaxial dispose your tweeter (usually coaxial are used as rear speakers, waste money)
5) 6.5" midbass give u more "omph"
6) tweeter itself doesnt come with passive crossover
7) if you buy a component then it comes with passive crossover
8) compenent set = mid bass + tweeter + passive crossover

look for a used passive crossover, then only can use your tweeter properly without damaging it.

failing that, u can make a simple high pass filter for your tweeter by connecting a small capacitor to it.

My car just wira 1.3..front dont have a speaker..my door panel made by kadbod,so the clip cant hold the speaker anymore..need to custom..lol..btw,bro zenn..how many farad of capacitor should i put?found out my tweeter just parallel with 4'' speaker..

look for a used passive crossover, then only can use your tweeter properly without damaging it.

tweeter can also run at active way without damaging it
u know why?? because i am doing this in my ride and no filter
only the SIFU can kaudim for u

somewhere around 20 microfarad or less...

not sure, depends la how big is the box

if its a small box, one wire in, one wire out, thats just the capacitor for high pass filter.

if its a bigger box, got 1 pair input terminal and 2 pair output terminals for speaker wires, that would be a passive xover.

most of the tweeter selling in the market come with high pass crossover/filter,so normally it will work with the tweeter.
their is always 4" component on sale in the market.

next wanna get a mid bass for front..still in quest,i wonder if wira dashboard can fit in the 5.25 speaker or not..:hmmmm:

ya la bro..now already got budget to buy complete door panel,front and rear seem mine is already critical...no more 4"..plan to get JBL GT5 6''component,nice huh?..:hmmmm:

the tweeter a bit sharp, the mid bass a bit hard. can settle it if u setting it wisely... last time im using infinity kappa perfect for SQ. tweeter too sharp, chagne to infinity beta tweeter. mid ok

for ur information, infinity and jbl both produce by harman kardon company. quality more alike jz name different and detailing sound produce.... for me, jbl set more sharp tweeter. i tried b4 GTI 5inch previous model b4... :)

is it?harman kardon use for MB car woo..actually now i already use av quartz tweeter,for me it sharp already..do no about GT5..i got two option that offer me good price..between mohawk ms6.2 component and that gt5 JBL..do know which one is the best..not top,but ok2la..:stupido2:

Ooo..i'm not really good in ice la..i just one syok2 only..btw,why u said mohawk cap ayam?..they copy what brand?..i thought it original it self,malaysian made..hihi..i already got co-axial mohawk for rear,sound not so bad(OEM speaker worst than it)..

Emm seems like wanna buy JBL r like dat,put on front door,ppl can see it..
