i was being robbed last thursday!!!!!! and they almost took my 1 month old MB C200!!!!! so scary!!!! but they look nervous though. if i have a 4WD i'll hit their ASS!!!!!!

actually i like 4WD like mitsubishi TRITON or toyota HILUX, they both look cool for me....rugged , tough...uhm.....

so thought of getting one of them for outstation travel now since i always travel alone, will look more tough in that ya?

which one do u guys prefer? especially to those who own one of them now.

and any idea of modifying them? i saw one with gull wing before, so COOL:_: !!!!

bro...if u wan tough n power...go for d new Ranger!!
but im driving a triton n loving every minute of it. it is my 1st 4x4 n its really cool to have such driving height...its more powerful compare to Hilux, which one of the reason why i bought the triton compare to Hilux.

but the new ranger has overtaken the triton in terms of performance. ride stability is there but a bit soft to my liking. this might sounds good for ppl who wants comfort. the rear sit its a lot better than previous model. its more comfortable.

in terms of look...i like triton n ranger. triton has the newer gen look while ranger maintain the old fashion way...TOUGH! but hilux is diff...front looks futuristic but back is old fashion.

i might be biased coz i have a triton..hehehe
anyway, im driving an auto version n its pretty good in terms of FC. every RM100 of diesel, i usually managed to clock 620km++. a lot better when u travel on highways.

in terms of resale value, Hilux is a lot better. Toyota mah..hehehe...but triton is newer model. unlike Hilux, which has been in the market for few yrs already.

my vote: Triton...esp the White colour...damn cool.

hilux is almost virtually indestructible.. with higher resale value... but triton's looks rocks!

Triton is also the spiritual successor to the Pajero in the Paris-Dakar Rally. I've test driven it and enjoy it a lot. But do give the new Ranger a chance...it has a more powerful engine and comes with a 5-speed auto too.

But yes, Hiluxes are bloody tough. Dunno bout the new one but Jeremy Clarkson had a tough time trying to destroy the older model.

i will choose the hilux RS,
since i always get in jungle....
and almost all 4x4 in the jungle also are HILUX....

there was these comparison made in one of the Fifth Gear progm where they tested Triton and the other model..not so sure if its Hilux, but triton has few letdowns compared to the competitor mostly in performance wise..but if you're into looks,Triton would be the best bet..
but personally myself would get the Hilux coz of its toughness and better re sale value...

thanks a bunch guys!

uhm..thanks a lot ya guys.....

as for me, i rarely go off road la, mostly in town and travel long distance to ipoh, penang, kl n melacca. other than that, even my factory's road surface also cun one...hehe...

so lady is forever lady mah....so looks does matter that's y i'm choosing between triton n hilux. no need so powerful leh. as long as okay okay plus the look then okay jor. hope it wun be too weird when i get down from anyone of them with mini skirt and super high heels haha:X-: .

high demand for hilux means it has good resale value,

no doubt, frontier, triton and new ranger has more power to the engines but look at things from different perspective like the number of service centres.

i watched Fifth Gear TV programme on astro recently when they tested Trion against Frontier. the vote goes to Frontier and according to one of the testers...

"when u drive the Frontier, its like u r sitting in the car. on the other hand driving the trito makes u feel like u r sitting on top of the car..."

by the time u own the hilux or triton, i dont think u have the guts to chase the thief and hit their ASS! some will point gun at gun asking you for the car :Not_Impressed:

at least it looks tough and not attracting too much attention like when i'm always travel in my C200. they look nervous than me the other day, they try to grab my key and i said 'fxxx off'. prob they were shock by my steady-ness also at that point. haha. the robbers car driver was a lady, damn slow n dumb, see me chase at them still stone and not sped off yet. damn i tak sampai hati to hit them with my 1 month old new car. but i know i might not as lucky next time.

hehe

as small as possible and not that attention grabbing. anyway, i hate myvi, swift n passo!!!!!!

hmmm..as small as possible?..get a Smart Car then..
i like the big tough lookin ones like toyota land cruiser VX Limited esp in white..
coz i like to squeeze big things into small spaces..:flute:

The tallest and longest among all, that would be the hilux vigo. Install those bull bar, few big spotlights on roof, use extra wide & tyre then u r already one of those tranformers!
I vote vigo over triton.

the bull bar looks gr8 but if u not intend to go offroad, its better not to install them...they r heavy!!! reduce power n FC. but if d looks r more important, then go for it...heheheh

isuzu d-max if fuel economy is wht u want 1400km with 75L of diesel even honda city not tht good, and bear in mind it 2 ton compare to 100kg city, 4wd gearbox, and 3.0L engine turbo compare to 1.5 i-dsi engine

I drive a Frontier for work and it never fails me. The power respond is quick and lag is very minimal. FC is good too. Normal service is about 150+ and major service also around 500 to 600. Resale value also won't lose to Toyota.

Hilux I heard alot of ppl steal because they can drive it up to Thailand and sell. The looks of Frontier might not look so nice on the extrerior compare to Triton and Ranger as for ride height, Frontier is the lowest among the trucks.
