i have both car.

1. Price (New, Used) = almost same

2. Fuel Consumption (? litre per KM; Normal and Highway) = almost same also.. rm50 can run...around 320km/h.

3. Maintainance Cost (Service, Spare Part) = both also easy to find spare part and modd part.

4. Performance (0 - 100km, Hourse Power, Top Speed) = pick up (City Vtec). Top Speed = VIOS!! can run 200km/h (but take time lor).. City Vtec = 175km/h (CVT gear box)

5. Handling = almost same.

6. Overall = both also good.

I do think he's asking Apple to Apple. For looks I'd vote Vios over City anytime. Bang/Buck City definitely. But for this kinda money, gun poking my forehead I'd go Nissan Sentra; else, RM80k+ can get me a real good 2nd hand car. Example:

1. RM74k can get you a year 2001 Alfa Romeo 147, ABS, EBD, 10 Airbags, Sunroof, Exhilirating performance and a engine note only a Ferrari or a V8/V10/V12 engine can compare to.

2. RM85k can get you a Audi A6 ......

Anyway, i know these are not what you want. So... i'd still get a Nissan Sentra/Suzuki Swift for this kinda money. And if its gotta be the two, I'd get Vios but I'll only look at City and laugh at the cockroach outlook of it, but i know if i go in and have a play around in a City, I'd definitely regret.

as the value of cars onli goes down year after year
its better to get a second hand car like
alfa, audi even bmw
jus for their handling characteristic

if u jus wan cars with good fc,
a good behavior right leg is more important.
as both fc also almost de same
if not get a kei-car.

Try to learn how to search before asking.

Out of topic: Sometimes if we Googled, we actually learn more than hear what ppl said because we can have a complete understanding of something. For example, the person explaining might only explain 80% of something and listener can absorb maybe 80% of he explained. Not considering twisted or exagarated info.

anyway, if i were to need to know bout these two cars... i'd post a thread again.... cos I AM the one who asked... and people are ANSWERING ME. kekeekke ~~~

Why not we go the other way round by telling him the BAD part of these cars?

1. Vios - Badly built for a Toyota.
2. City - Looks fugly, and if it were about the big boot, a Suzuki Swift can anytime load larger stuffs as its a hatchback, and hatchbacks, wagons with their whole hatch opening wide, can create a real big gaping loading area.
3. Suzuki Swift - When you're carrying five, you cant carry more stuffs than either Vios or City.... but how often would that BE?
4. Nissan Sentra - Needs carbon ****** to trace the date of launch for this particular model, but for the price, its still a bargain considering its a 1.6, and currently you get all the hot options of having those hot rims, nismo skirtings, dampers and so on.

well, i alwiz wonder why city are FUGLY in u guys opinion?.... in my opinion VIOS arent look nice either, instead it look nerdy...see how is it when fixed up with common bodykit... ever seen those city who slam a nice bodykit, lowered, and 17" rim?...i lazy wanna post up those nice city pic that i've taken...but beauty is alwiz in the eye of beholder, i would say vios is really really not worth the money....go and compare the features city and vios...and quality and interior looks (esp vtec version), space, 7speed mode, CVT (smooth and silent ride), vtec (the legend, altho is junior vtec la)... which more worth for ur 80k?

and which car doesnt have problem? even i heard before accord, camry, vios, city, and etc etc car got problem, see if u're lucky o not...

well choices are still on buyer, im not here to fire/start up a fight o wat...just that i used to wondering before which should i choose..

If you count mods, hamilanciao also look nice lar. Mute point.

Toyota did a better job with the styling of the Vios and then skimped on quality. Honda packed everything from the parts bin into the City and but strangely neglected the exterior. Fact.

Regardless, if I were to choose, I would go for the City. Better value. Also fact.
