Toyota Advanza Suspension

hi brothers here, i like to ask about the suspension of Advanza.

i feel that very soft of the rear side. any solution of it ? pls advice, all the expert here.

do u all think that changing absorber or springs or both will be nicer ? pls advice ya.....thanks ....

Bro, change the rear set to Gas absorber......it will help...

thanks bro ae76. but original absorber of advanza is not gas one? i tot is gas one,but i think i totally wrong ady. how about changing to performance absorber n springs ? izzit more better ?

all original Toyota abs mostly a oil type......If you want to change to performance 1 sure better....but the price will be a lot higher.....

the 1 in photo is performance type......
The price depend a lot on the brand........for performance it may cost up to few thousand...
If just normal abs you may get price from RM100 to 200 depand on brand also.....as long as you get a Japan made gas absorber like KYB or tokico will be nice already....unlease u really need to tune up your car...

actually depend on wat type of driving behaviour u mostly use lor ...if u always hantam corner kao kao then i think avanza is not a gud car lor since it is tall mah ...anyway a sport type would help u out ...if kaya change to adjustable lor ..wit hi lo soft hard de ...hehe..

Bro Caleb, pls don kidding me la...use advanza to hantam corner, means find dead way to go oli ler....haha ....no la. this is my family car.when i drive it, i feel very jumpy at behind especially bringing people at behind, make me feel uncomfortable when driving. so, i nid to improve the suspension of this car lor......hope to get good result after i change the ABS lor .

Bro,
Since use for family......forget about all the performance abs. like adjustable...
You just get a set of Japan made Gas abs will do...... there should be no problem with your ori spring unless you really go use ur Avanza as a Carrier to carry a lot off heavy things.....

i just want comfortable driving oli on that car, cos advanza is nice for me, just the suspension abit brings problem to me and family oli.

improve Propex sport performance absorber (nitrogen gas filled)..i think around
rm 500 can get or try apm- less than rm500

hi bro.....
i want to let u know tat avanza rear absorber are alledy gas type ma ..... it's a KYB oliginal wit gas filled...even it's gas but it not too hard to support avanza's weight tat y u can fil bumpy at rear side.... i drive a 1st model avanza and also can fil the bumpy at rear side. i just changed to gab sports spring last month to fil better but what i get is HAMPEHHHHH . Tat spring looks nice... the gap between fender and tayar is about 2 fingure at front and 3 1/2 fingure at rear....look sporty but when i drive my avanza with full load like naik kereta lembu maaaa ...the spring is too soft...the stopper rubber touch the cross bar all the time ....u know what my wife said aaaaa...."Bang cam mane kete kite bleh jadi cam kete lembu lak ni"?!!! hahahaha....:hmmmm: ....then i put a cushion rubber to support the springs but it's still not ok. now i wan to try to change the stock absober to heavy duty one. i hope it will more better & comfortable......mr b8t_ford i advice u don't do anything ..it's better use the oliginal wan maaaaa.......don't waste money.... i will let u know if it's comfortable or hampehhhhh when i change heavy duty absober.

Both myself and my friend have just recently changed to rear GAB gas absorber and its nice,not so jumpy compared to the ori KYB gas absorber.1 set about rm310.I think not necessary to change the spring as it is the family car.

How are u mr.b8t_ford? I have changed my stock KYB absorber with heavy duty nitrogen gas shock absorber brand Gabriel last saturday. Muahhhhhh it's so comfortable . I can fil like drive a new avanza again, no more bumpy.....u know what my son said aaaaa.....best la ayah cam ni baru best lepak kat belakang nie.... My family was very eppy with new absorber, u can view tis absorber at http://www.http://Gabriel.com. go to under sub title premium SUV/LIGHT truck and choose ultra shock absorber title then u can see the absorber pic wit white colour...tat 1 i use right now. Tis gabriel heavy duty absober is bigger then stock KYB. It's so hard & comfortable and better use wit gab sports spring . i think if u use stock avanza's spring i advice u choose Monroe gas filled absorber.....tis type absorber little bit hard & better then stock KYB to reduce bumpy. FYI market price for the gabriel heavy duty absorber around RM150 per pc. so 1 pair RM300....it's cheaper then gab gas absorber and for monroe gas filled is around rm115 per pc. 1 pair rm230 only. Make your choice bro......
