Hey fellow forummers,
hv a story that would like to share with u guys. My mum's harrier nearly got stolen in Berkely/Eng Ann Garden in Klang around 10 am this morning. The thiefs ply the new security lock from the socket as I think they want to hot wire the car. The coin box was ripped from the compartment and around the security lock area, the dashboard was pry and broken, in order to get the lock out. The small little window at the back seat (left hand side) was broken to gain entry. theyleft beind all the screw drivers, so the moral is that no matter how costly the security system is, allit takes is a screw driver, especiallt the Stoplock steering lock, which cost nearly RM200/- is really useless.
They got away when they saw my dad walking back to the car. They got away in a blue BMW 5 series bearing the registration plates WFS 66 which i presume stolen as well. 4 guys. Keep a lookout mates

atm i'm in syd, heard this from my dad like right now. the whole dashboard was ripped apart to disable the security system also. But they could not locate the override switch which i carefully rewired it to another area in the dashboard. car cannot be moved now due to damage.
sigh

Hey dude...really surprise to hear tat happen in Berkeley/Eng Ann Klang cuz i'm from Klang too.. ;) ..btw,izit ur mom's harrier park outside the house or wat??..those farking bastard car thiefs really sucks man.. <_<

apparently the car was parked near the shops in eng ang. kinda fuzzy about the road names now. hahaha. but i remember its near the A1 tuition or the sunday markets.
i think they parked its nex to the school facing those shops.

sorry 2 hear that bro
hope ur family wont b 2 angry over da matter
hope those thieves kena caught n killed

same here man. i hope to rip those bastards apart. i hate P.O.S's like that.

sorry 2 hear that...

did u make a police report...???
the least thing we can do is to make police report and hope that the polis catches them :(

dad made the police report edi, but as usual ler, they give u the usual stuff ler like will call u in for helping in the case if they catch them n whatnots. they left 3 screwdrivers tho.

assuming the bmw was a stolen car, i feel sorry for the owners who lost it.

a fren of my mum who bought a harrier the same time with hers ( same dealer actually) lost it in 1 utama just a few months after they recieved the keys to their cars. poor lady, she nearly went crazy over the loss.

sorry to hear that dude...so, what security system u got in the harrier ? got shock sensor or not ?
i think alarm with shock sensor better..cos my kancil (yes, it's only a kancil) also broke in and my standard perodua's HU also stolen.
they slice the rubber that attach to the small little window at the back (yes..similar tecnique!!) and took out the little window out, and open the back window (kancil using manual window opener at the back) and manage to get in. stole the HU and go.

p/s: errrr..what alarm system is the best right now (without immobilizer) ? and price ?

wah liao...my mum driving a harrier...muz b more careful...=(

i heard khabar.. tht HARRIER is their top aim .. its because they somehow get it to singapore for sale ..
one more is Altis .. i dunno y they keep aiming them..
but aiseh.. Berkely ka :( now how to park my car and happily eat la if like this means.. :(

aiyah....we all no need to be on forums talk about how to kill em...
one night we all go out at nite..catch these fellas in action and whack them la..!
blardee cork ballz.!

last few day read from newspaper that the police malaysia and police singapore co-operation together and got back about 50 cars and the harrier is the most....unser...altis...all got back...and 4 person kena tahan

damage assesed.
1. alarm system was shorted by shorting the 2 side signal wires outside the car therefore disabling it TOTALLY!. both left and right sides were shorted. alarm system had full immobiliser and shock sensor. brand i would not reveal but cost RM2k back in 2002 when it was new and was the premium spec ones.

2. ignition was DRILLED through to reveal a lever inside it. by turning the lever, u can start the car edi. Ignition thingi was made of copper, so easy to drill.

total repairs cost RM 2k including broken window

well, now more added locks n stuff has been added.
hope can deter these fuktup bastards from taking d car.

am just wondering why these thieves dont just steal a tow truck and tow away whatever cars or 4wd they wanna steal, wouldn't that be easier? tarik the car to some place away from the location where to towed the car, somewhere secluded then then can spend however much disabling the darn alarm. or better tow already masok kontenna.

wanna spend time using screwdrivers to pry this short circuit that .. wasting time..

but good also lah.. if kena tangkap sure kena end up in hospital before sent to police. :P

damn... can you actually believe it?! Can you just farking believe it?!?! Just one farking day!!! Well, can say 2 days... got the cd player on wednesday evening and it's gone just now...Me think it's around 10-11pm... sigh... although it's not an expensive player but still cost me 400+... :( :( aiyaaaaa... broke the side window and just freakin pull the whole panel out!!! now the air-con panel also gone case liao... :( damn... really hard to accept it lor... been parking my car at the same place near my office everyday... right until i change my cd player then this happened!!! don know how much it gonna cost me to get it all done... sigh, and to think that i do all the savings for the promote bumper and hood can finally ready after raya... damn those mother farking idiots... if i catch them i'm gonna personally "SAW" off they right hand and right leg!!! ARRRGGGGHHHHH!!!

:( wassup bro!sorry to hear that incident.i'm from klang..too
all of us has to be very sure esp when parking at places that ourselves has doubt!
nowdays at klang areas there's too much of stolen car reported. So pls take caution and beware!!!The princip of putting alarm is to guard ur our car and cannot 100% prevent from stolen. It's all depending on how we assure the car safetyness.Hopefully this reminds all of us including me to be aware next time.
