Sifu,

My current ride is SGTI with Evo engine with stock spring and absorber. the gap between the fender n 16' rim is 2 fingers front and rear. Very comfortable but cannot whack for cornering as feel like flying. I m thinking to change absorber and lowered spring.

My opt is either adjustable abs or stock abs with lowered spring. But scared too low if fully loaded.

any suggestion arr by your experienced? Budget around RM1,000 only ...Thanksss

try to get one set used japan adjustable suspension...with front pillow-ball mount...

so that u can adjust ur front camber.....

if u juz change spring..i cant take corner so nice....coz ur absorber is original......

absorber with soft/hard oso not bad if u r out of budget......

erm rm 1k abit hard to get but if u got more like 3 or 4 k , i will suggest hotbits hi low hard soft 40 clicks adjustable...superb performance..if u are intrested to get ,i can get u a good price...but still need 3k +

For hybrid (as in original 2WD converted) cars, better get custom-made. Seriously, better not skimp on handling. The consequence can be bad.

if fully converted to 4wd? custom-made better oso?

if custom-made oso need bout rm2k....Hwl....Titan..n so on......

hwl is factory made not custom made. As far as I know only Titan does custom made suspensions.

Titan is good....with 5 yrs warranty...hi/low n soft/hard ..very good services.....

but u gotta prepare at least rm2-2.5k......location is at pandah indah if im not mistaken

Titan custom make to your preference.

If not mistakne oni Hi low adjustable, no soft hard adjustables yet.

Titan are taylor made spring stiffness.

They also taylor made shock absorbers.

For RM2K ++, worth every penny.

Some may think that with RM2K, they might as well get branded TEIN or APEXI or GAB, etc.

But the point is, these ready made suspension system might not suit your driving style.

2nd point is, if these braded ones are damaged, you might have diffictulty to revalve or service locally.

If fully AWD, the car is balance and u can use Jap suspensions or local, all boils down to budget.

if converted to evo engine..i think 4wd is better...coz if 2wd....d pulling is too strong...two tyre cannot stand for tat...sure lost gripping d....

2 years warranty... unless accident la.

I paid RM 2.8k for the basic kit, another RM 700 for max castor pillowball mount, RM 200 for custom-made aluminium rear mounting.

Hhmm... I wonder if they have anything else for my car?

So, basically... I got rid of rubbers from my car absorber mountings. No more hunting down junk stores for used rubbers or begging people to sell original Japanese ones to you. Screw the rubbers.

Location is in Pandan Mewah... just after Pandan Perdana. Easy to find if you are coming from Kesas to Cheras.

Provided if you can convert to AWD. I've tried asking around but no one seems interested in it. Too time consuming and too risky.

I've heard that a workshop in Shah Alam can convert a 2WD Galant to full-spec AWD Galant VR4. Don't know yet but need to ask 1st.

Yes... on bad roads. On normal roads like highways or expressway, OK.

So, if u want performance... got to sacrifice some comfort la. I even broke my CD Changer after going over a huge pot hole. Now with new CD Changer, I've insulated it with lots of rubber.

Mine don't have wor... maybe because rear is not pillowball mount... but custom-made non-adj aluminium mounts.

My CD Changer is mounted inside the boot, just above the rear speakers. I also have a boombox. Each time I went over a pot hole, the boombox will whack into the changer and broke it.

Now, with some SuperLon and hard rubber (mostly used on carpets), I wrap the Changer. Seems OK now.

aluminium mounts oso metal made like pillow-ball mount rite?

mine is annoying la....

Titan is too way out of my budget..RM3K for whole complete set eh?

I was thinking to change my absorber to either KYB RS / Monroe / GAB...combined with Eibach spring...Dunno which one r better?

Btw what does 'short-stroke type abs' means?
