Guys,

Sometimes i get a little confused on tis... maybe u sifus can help... wut does SO4 and SO3 represent? Is it the chassis? SO4 for 4 door EK and SO3 for 3 door EK??can we say that EK2 n EK9 are SO3? EK3, EK4 and EJs are SO4? What do we refer to when buying spare parts? Open 4 discussion heheh :unsure:

SO3 and SO4 are the body chasis while EK represent the engine chasis.

Body:
SO3= 2 drs hatchback
SO4=4 drs sedan

Engine:
EK2=1.3
EK3=1.5
EK4=1.6 DOHC
EK5=1.6 4WD
EK9=1.6 Type R

EK2, EK3 and EK4 comes in 2drs and 4drs. EK5 only available in 4drs and EK9 only available in 2drs.

That's also the reason that you will see SO3/SO4 being printed on the rear of most interior cockpit plastic parts such as dashboard, gear console because they are swaptable.

I could be wrong but this is what I know... ;)

then why my car is "SO3/4" ler......???? :o
Like I said, some parts can be used between SO3 and SO4 so the rear of the parts will be printed as "SO3/4". :)

SO3 = 2 doors hatchback
SO4 = ferio

If I'm not mistaken, 6th gen Civic coupe is SO2, correct me if I'm wrong.

EDIT: If SO3/4... that should indicate that the parts are interchangeable between those two.
