sigh..

this evening my elder sister took my civic out to fetch my younger sister back from tuition, on the way back.. she got involved in an accident involving 4 other cars.. one of the merz (the most front) wasn't damaged so that person drove off..

but my car and the other 3 was in quite a mess :(

the impact caused the two metal horizontal structural bars potrude out thru the front bumper.. my bumper is a goner, my bonnet is a goner (can't even open the thing), suspected radiator and condenser burst and both headlights requires replacement..

don't know when i'll be able to get my car back.. and according to my dad, he most probably will be selling off my car or trading it in cuz he said the car must be bad luck or something, involved in so many accidents.. in that case, i'm not sure if i'll be able to remain a honda owner as well =(

love my car very much leh.. :(

this i gotta discuss with my dad ..

how much does a year 1997 automatic 1.6L sohc vtec sedan would be able to sell for? bought it first hand of course.. just want to know the rough figure..

according to my dad.. his budget will be around 50 - 70k as there is also another car on loan :( my dreams of another honda has been slashed as he is looking for a new car ...

kl_t, yeah man.. the new honda civic is damn nice.. but too bad cuz my dad ain't gonna pay such a hefty sum for it.. :(

well, i'm not too sure if i can pursuade my parents to purchase 2nd hand cars within that value because they may think the maintenance and parts changing is too much of a hassle to take on :(

when it comes to new cars, i'm not too sure of the choices.. because the better cars are at the higher end to 100k..

with that kind of budget, no honda for me unless if it's 2nd hand.. honda integra is possible right?

very easy calculation:

if u wanna get a itr for lets say 82k, then for a 96 model i think u require to dump in at least 30k

if u wanna get a new car, like getz for example, 70k max (on the road), u just need few k downpayment and the rest installament

now that is the difference. not to say u can get a 72k civic with just a mere 25k downpayment.
