Remote Turbo

Has anyone heard about this remote turbo system? i requires no major internal mods, but sadly it only can have 5psi max. anyone knows anybody who offers this system plz pm me

it is not an electronic bov. it is a turbo remotely mounted (i.e. away from the engine bay). Saw some mags and they had it installed way back at the exhaust. no clue on who offers it.

what car are you planning to turbocharge?

btw, the car i am bout to turbocharge is my car, Honda Accord 2.0... in a low profile way. :P

japle - im not sure where to get this in malaysia buddie, cause they only famous in american countries for use in corvette, hummer, camaro, ford and some other pickup trucks.

infernal - use somewhere in bottom car place after manifold and before muffler pipings.

yes, this system works as the same as the conventional types, no catches... but there r advantages, not much mods needed, u can still run on stock pistons, thats wat i studied, but 5psi max....sad thing huh?...

issit, im sorry to hear tat ;) ... japs are no.1 copy cats he he ... its under similar category falls like Surbo, LPT and much more aftermarket products. But STS is in top range.

We can trust STS rather than trusting SURBO's he he .. japle, i suppose 10PSI can be achieved with some minor modifications.

Won't it be a problem when it rains since the filter is underneath the car?It will suck up the water.Just imagine if u go in a puddle.Koyak man the engine

actually, by having 5psi into ur engine is a good enough fun. 50% extra air, i think its bout 20-30 more hps?

so.. raining time ride motobike leh... ;) .... the filter fitted under car isnt the normal engine airfilter, but filter for the STS system itself. If we look at the image in the specified site, its covered and they have own patent to produce, i dont think it will affect the engine unless we purposely hantam the car in banjir area, common senses are required ;) .. cheers!

after reading thru the website
this stuff most probably is real
it is a real turbocharging system bt low psi
turbo located at rear end of the car, errmm but the thing is that
at USD $4000 , convert to malaysian ringgit about 15k
i tink for 15k
u can fix forged pistons for ur honda , get eagle conrods
get a stainless steel manifold with hks wastegate
get a HKS GT turbine , and u can shoot close to 350hp for sure
we can even include a microtech if cash is enough man ..
boost 1.5bar oso i tink can ler hahahahha forged

haha, ic, n the answer is no, its not an eletronic device where u strap it on n run.... this is a system which replaces the turbo somewhere else cooler (better for the engine oil, eliminating the usage of intercooler at 5psi, no muffler cuz the turbo acts as the muffler). nice, isnt it?

japle.., jinkl is rite, for at least 10k u can get perfect turbo cars already by engine wise and hanling wise.

but sometimes, for medium salaried people like me would be hard to maintain turbo cars, tats y it will always sleep at home .. japle would think of tat also :) .. but its someones personal preference to seek for their choice ;) ... hope japle can find such thing in our market.
