Hi guys,

Anyone happen to know the recommended tyre pressure for a 215/45 R17 tyre?

Thanks in advance.

My front is 33.5 psi front and 31.5 rear - Potenza RE001

Front is 32.5 front and 30 rear - Falken FK452

Try different pressures for different tyres, some will need more to feel good, some need less... :driver:

250 kpa at d front,n 220 kpa at d back.
fuel saving tip.not handling tip.
btr for d real should b less than d front tires.if u r using FF car(weight distribution)
if u wanna make ur car tail happy, then put d back tires to d max pressure it can takes.

mine advan neova 195/55/R15 front&rear 215kpa @ 31psi..
saw one schedule table on air pump at shell indicate recommended pressure based
on how much ur C.C vehicles....

32psi for the front and 41 for the rear. - my drift car..
29psi for the front and 41 for the rear - dmax 2.5 according to the sticker at my door

does anybody have the schedule table of tyre pressure??....mind to share here....:listen::love:

The correct pressure has been established jointly between the vehcile and the tyre manufacturer. Your vehicle manufacturer may place a sticker adivising you of the correct pressures, on the door jamb, the fuel filler cap, in the manual, glove box etc.

wanna ask the expert here....how much psi need to use for 15" wif 50 series...which is best??? i used 30psi for front and rear...any pro n cons??????:driver:

Based on my exp, a lower profile tyre will need higher pressure. Also must take into account a heavier engine (if you have transplanted).

Mine : 205/45/16
Front : 240kpa
Rear : 220kpa

so high pressure pump in will not bumpy? since the profile so low..

Yea, a bit... But have to, cause anything less, and my thread wear isn't even.

Now, starting to save money to buy tires! They are expensive ^^

ic... i pump 210kpa@30psi also feel a bit bumpy d... sometimes i will pump 200kpa@28psi for more comfortable.

Your exp need to be update.
Tire pressure and tire profiles are not relative.

Most tires should run between 29-32psi.
And you have to take few factors into considerations for tires pressure:
1. Tires compound. Soft or Hard
2. Your driving style
3. Road condition
4. Comfort or performance
5. Load & weight. Any passengers or heavy luggage?

I run mine at 37psi front & rear.
I drive alone most of time. No lugguge.
I drive hard and corner hard.
My car have stiff suspension, so bumpy ride dont' bother me.
I have near 50/50 weight distribution. So all 4 tires are same pressure.
My tires is 225/45/17 with softer compound.
I "chalk" my tires. It says I am right.

Cheers

actually almost all kind, size of the tyres are recommend pressure @ 30 psi for daily use,,,,but don't over 35psi if u r using a local/used tyres..easy make ur tyres "mengkat" when u langgar lobang.cos the side cannot main when pressure r too high...
a tips for u all,if u want more grip for ur car, just let the pressure @ 20 psi front,22 psi rear for drag only........

Please learn more about tires pressure before you give tips.
You are endanger people life by advicing them driving 22psi or lower.
Don't listen.

Cheers

hup???i said for drag only mah,,bro....my fren go to pasir gudang all put their presurre lower than 20psi for 0-400m,wat their tell me that r very good for grip but nor for daily use....last time i hv try it on daily use-20psi,really very good for grip but when high speed cornering r very danger...:banghead:...sorry that if i got the wrong information ...just to sharing wat i hv to your guyss..:banghead::banghead::banghead:
cheers up:driver:

ya, if the wheel pressure is very low than normal pressure. is very danger when cornering.

Skylee is right. A lower pressure tire will definitely give more grip during a drag-race, as you are going straight ONLY! Just ignore him....

Generally, lower profile tires will need higher pressure as the air-chamber in it is smaller. You just can't use someone's tire pressure with the same tire size w/o taking into consideration the other car's weight, distribution, etc...Would be best to slowly adjust the tire pressure till you have an even-wear tire. Just make sure you don't go over the tire's pressure limit. That's how I did it.
