My car is corolla EE100. I have just change my rear light to new model (red+white), but after the installation I see both side of the rear light still not fit inline with the side body(the side at both side of the car body, not the side near to center reflector).

Anybody know what is the cause of this and how to solve this? Will it because of the rubber that holding the rear light become soft already since it already 13 years? is it just changing that rubber will solve the problem?

should fit nicely ler...

last time i dissambled it.. din see any rubber ler...

urs is getting outer than the car body?

fritz. I bought it for RM330 for whole set from chop shop

artnet, it's fit on all the screw hole, but it's outer than the body. Anyway to improve.

bro i got no idea why this happens.

it does happen on one side of my car tough... slightly out only.
the bumper got minor accident last time. slightly hit a car while reverse.

may be screws too tight? but not tight enough might drop... ehehehe...

Mayb tht car had accident b4 lar..nvm..if u dun wan then let go..sell to me..hehe!

Raymond, the lights fit exactly and there should not be any gaps or misallignment....perhaps you could re-fit them and also at the same time see of the alignment of both sides look even witout the light...

when you had the old orange and red lights on, they fit well?

Master D, before I change to new rear light the original orange+red light also not fully fitted. The side of it looks not align with the body. This morning I reopen the rear light, I saw the clip which hold the light was bent. I think that might be the reason. Did anyone facing this problem before?? Please help ...... now adays look at other SEG all also very fit just mine having some gap with it..... heart is really blooding :(

hi raymond where do u get the rear light??? which chop shop??? think of getting 1 for my car too...

WrX7 I got it from a chop shop at Bandar Technologi Kajang. I have found many chop shop but normally the price is RM450. Can say really lucky can get it at Rm330. Good luck for your search.

Raymond, the clip is bent? Can you adjust it then?

Well if all fails, why meet up withthe gang at one of the TTs and let them tinker with it...dun worry, its nothing major. :)

ryuichi, the clip is from my car, it's come not from the light. I think it's already bent before I change the new light because my old light also looks like not align with side body of the car. Need some advise from those who facing this problem before to help me. But looks like nobody face that problem before?? I'm the only unlucky one? :(

By the way, the crystal light that from your picture is it make from Taiwan? I'd saw some advertisement that Taiwan are selling those SEG rear crystal light. but RM350 is really cheaper than the original one lo .....

raymond,

mine also got gap coz previous owner got accident before the screw holder sudah patah just notice it few days ago coz change bulp...previous owner just use glue to tag to body...mahai...

speedcrave, I so how you solve the problem? I open the rear light and check, total 4 pcs clips for both side also bent already. it's not flat to fitted with the crew. I remove the rings from the bottom can only reduce it a bit.

You change the clip then solve the problem? how much will the clip cost?
