Hi guys, I was just drivinghome earlier and there weren't much cars on the road, so I decided to floor it. Haven't done it for sometime. I noticed something very weird. The rev cut (feels like a rev cut) or flatness occurs @ different rpms. At the 3rd gear, it would not rev past 5k and at 4th, around 6k. What could possibly be wrong here ? As I remember, stock ECU cuts @ 6.9k right ? ECU retard due to knocking ? Bad AFM ? Bad ECU ? Bad fuel pressure ? Bad injectors ? It's definitely not a clutch slip. Btw, it's mostly stock parts.

Bad tuning. It could be fuel system clogged up or ur boost accidently up.

No boost ups, no aftermarket stuffs. All stock except the intake and exhaust which were in there all these years without problems.

Jahax. Knew you would say that..LOL! Apart from the apparent "rev-cuts" everything is fine. I shall try again tonight.

The Air Filter is an Apexi Powerflow. Cleaned everytime when serviced.

The feel is not like it's out of breath but rather something eletronically limiting the rev at that level.

After some discussions with the sifus, the general consensus seems to be the fuel pump is being inefficient and may die soon. Looks like a SARD 280L/hr is going in :)

inocente,i oso experience d sam thin..d onli diff r,my rev cut @ 5.5k gear 1 n 2, n somtim gear 3..huhu hav u setl d prob..if ya,hw hah..plz let me knw ya..but i do hav bost up..

I think I settled it. The cut was due to over-boosting. The stock turbo boost up fairly quick and occasionally creates boost spike (especially with the solenoid) which triggers the stock ECU boost cut. I suggest you unplug the stock solenoid on your car and see how it goes.

Killed my turbine in the process of finding out this cause.

it's the small thing next to your power steering fluids reservoir.

Had this same problem . One of your coilpacks is breaking down . Replaced mine with spitfire coilpacks .

No it wasn't. Just the stock solenoid opening can causing boost spikes that triggered the ECU to do a Rich & Retard to the engine. All good now..Found out the expensive way. Blew the stock turbo. hehe.
