R34 GTR bonnet on a GTT

Yo dudez!

Anyone out ther ever attempted to put a R34 GTR bonnet on a R34 GTt?
I can see that the hinges and the hood lock are quite different. Anyone there seen this? How do i mod the hood lock to fit the GTR bonnet on the GTt? HELP!

U may need to swap the grilled bumper together isnt it? .. is the hinge different? .. im not sure in details, but rough look its seems to be the same, or get a gt-r bonnet with the gt-r hinge may be the body mould are same.

yeah u are correct. tried before.. the hinge is different.. GTR is like bengkok little bit.. GTT is straight...
and the hood lock GTR is flat straight.. GTT go down a little bit...
the GTR bumper can fit on the GTT...

Nope, bot the hood lock and the hinges are totally different. Checked already.

funny thing my GTT ass is not like that red GTT's ass....
it looks more like the GTR's ass....so i dunno if that red one's ass is stock or some older series??

why u want the bonnet of the GTR? looks almost the same shit....get the carbon fibre one...at least got holes to cool down ur engine....

tried before huh? Where? I also want to try! heheh! I am getting the bonnet soon. Going down to singapore this weekend and while i'm there i'm gonna look for the rubber strip for the front of the bonnet also. So where did you try this conversion? Please let me know... much better to ask someone who has already done it instead of trying to figure it out and ending up in a "t*uuuu lorrrrrr" situation...



ManR34, I think the rear bumper on the red GTT in that link is the one that matches your front one. By Altia i think...

but my ass is not the same as that...looks like a normal gtt ass or similar to the gtr ass...

that gtt's ass sure looks weird mate....esp that big lump in middle got the word skyline....hmmmz....what happened to my ass then...did i my car get rapped? :D

GTT comes in MANUAL oso...why there are alot of auto's in malaysia, is becos auto's are actually cheaper versions of GTTs in japan....we get autos cos no jap wants them so they are keeping their prescious manual gear boxes and sending the shitty auto boxes to us :D
altho SG dealership in PJ got a manual GTT....anyways this semi-auto is fine with me esp in this KL jams and all....

BTW, whos got used to driving with the gears on the steering wheel?

Most probably it won't fit. GTR has longer front to accommodate the front mount intercooler, hence non-GTR models have shorter hood and front fenders. GTR headlights have a spacer of roughly 10+mm compared to non-GTR models. Have tried it on a 33 and it won't work. Probably the same for 34 also. GTR34 are 4600mm in length while GTT are 4580mm. Where do you think the 20mm comes from? Yet again, i might be wrong.

Yea there are GTTs with 5MT.... and there are quite a few around here too... but since i am an old man already i am very very happy with the M-ATx box. REal nice.... but changing gear with the buttons on the wheel is weird la.... i hardly ever do that!

Well if the fenders are pnp then it shouldn't be much of a problem. GTR33 has spacers on their headlights i'm not sure whether GTR34 is the same. You can double check on that. And yeah you need the GTR bumper together with the bonnet so that it won't look awkward. Good luck on your experiment. :cool:

why don't you check out the west yokohama kit, it looks pretty nice and much cheaper than east bear and I think (don't quote me) the silver GTT from singapore also using this kit.

Only one thing tho - the west yoko kit uses the original bonnet.... and there are no sideys on the car either. That's prolly why it's so much cheaper than the EB one.
