Greetings everyone.
Have a question here on APEXi AFC Neo. Can it be installed on a 5AT Altezza? any benefits/improvements of using it? I have an unused Greddy E-Manage which William told me that it is not advisable to install it on Altezza.
So someone has offered to swapped his AFC Neo with my E-Manage.

Appreciate if you guys can comment on this.

Thanx!!!!

I m using AFC neo on my 5AT Altezza.. no problem.. I love it coz it's very handy & easy to play2..

Which William are u referring to?
Kakimotor william?

William from Trial Tuning. thx for the info ARSSS

G221..it depends on what r u looking to gain from fixing the Apexi AFC Neo or E-Manage.
I have made some comparison between the Apexi, E-Manage and PCIII as I am thinking of installing a piggy back aftermarket ecu into my MYVI. What I have gather from a MYVI club forum gave me a real surprise, in terms of choice and knowledge some of the MYVI guys have.

This is a typical comparison chart that I found from the website:

Apexi SAFC
1. Got Display (Neo got color screen)
2. Programs at 500rpms intervals.
3. 2 throttle position hi and lo
4. Cannot control closed loop system.
5. Cannot control fuel pump program.
6. Ignition tuning tak da.....(Myvi can not tune ignition)

Emanage Blue
1. No display
2. Programs at 500rpms intervals
3. 16 throttle preset
4. Can control idle speed timing
5. Cannot control closed loop system.
6. Cannot control fuel pump program.
7. Ignition tuning with extra harness( myvi can not)

Dynojet Powercommander III
1. Display optional
2. Programs at 250rpms intervals (More fine or detail A/F ration tuning)
3. Can control idle speed timing
4. Can control closed loop system.
5. Can control fuel pump program up to 100%
6. Ignition module optional
7. "Cylinder trim" adjustment feature that allows you to "offset" fuel to one or more cylinders (extra feature but don't see anyone using this feature)

From the above comparison, only the PCIII have more flexibility and better finer tuning rpm intervals.

I guess William was not trying to pull your leg after all.

thanks for the really useful info Greytezza. Anyway, PCIII has not been tested on Altezza yet right, according to William....
so no info can be gathered yet on the reliability, stability, etc. anyone has volunteered his/her Altezza to install this PCIII?

Greytezza,

Slight correction on AFC Neo.. It is not programed at 500 rpm interval, it is 16 points programable. U can set the interval for 16 points from RPM 0 to 10k.. and it can control the closed loop .. Cheers..

can i share?
im not driving altezza, but is just a proton with SC kit,
at 1st i put smt6, but that piggyback seem not so compactible with the kit,
so i change to PCIII and change the injectors as well,
it gave me a very good throttle response, and can tune the injectors' spray pattern every 250rpm(which you can tune more specific)
basically i quite satisfied with this product, and looking forward to its ignition module...
i think if combine this 2 things together, the whole vehicle is almost running a standalone management, but have to tune it by yourself or authorised tuner in malaysia.
its really fun because today i try to tune by myself (just try to change the map at high rev with full throttle position) it reduce my boost from 0.7 to 0.6 but amazingly my engine knocking sounds appears to be gone(NA piston stock engine) , compare to the tuner's setting, when i full throttle my engine knocking sounds louder than my own setting, but still looking for some info about how to tune. thats my exp for PCIII
^^
p/s: i not trying to say the tuner not good ^^ peace

Yes bro ARSS..u are right that the Apexi have 16 points..but each point are set at 500RPM intervals..

ok..so just put PCIII aside for a while, should I install the AFC Neo or E-Manage? if both are not good enough then will try the PCIII...0% interest payment..can aaa William?? :hmmmm::biggrin:

Bro Greytezza,

My AFC Neo is not 500rpm interval.. it varies.. It can be set any 50rpm .. e.g for my setting is:
600 - 800 - 1200 - 1500 - 2300 - 2600 - 3000 - 3500 - 4000 - 4200 - 4600 - 5000 - 5300 - 6000 - 6800 - 7200

For Idle setting - 600 - 800
Cruising (fuel efficiency) - 800 - 2300
VVTI kick in - 4200
My torque peak - 5300
My Rev cut - 7200

So each points were set to the specific needs..

sorry to borrow the thread

how about this guy?
http://www.rhdjapan.com/jdm-low/TRUST-E-Manage-Ultimate-Main-Unit-SXE10-19T-Turbo-Kit-54088

Can this replace the APEXI PowerFC?:hmmmm:

"The e-manage is the perfect solution for those who have vehicles that are not supported with stand-alone computers such as the Apexi Power FC"

doesn't replace totally.. just an alternative..

yes emanage can be used on altezzas , but if u are not really into modding but would like to optimize your a/f , u can try using "map system" , but bear in mind u can't connect it to adjust ignition ...
