Whats the problem? Put WD40 on side rubber also acting the same way. Just modified to motorized/electronic contrroled window. THought it would go away, suddenly back.
i mean its good for ur side rubber, its not the whole solution I guess, but u can try it first, mebbe it got stuck somewhere between the rubber while it goes up, rectify the place & check taht certain area, u need to greasing to the moving mechanical stuff too.
bro, the most likely culprit is the rubber. so u need to apply the lubrication on monthly basis ( worst case) dun use WD40 la.. WD stands for Water Displacement.. it wont works on rubber, glass etc.. look for silicon lubrication as bro suggested. No point keep looking at motor/mechanical issue if u already replace it. If u think its rather extreme for monthly application. do check BMW website.. someone suggested theyu did it on weekly basis.. Yes BMW also have windows problem..
It could be the railings of the power window worn out or misaligned.
Also u can get from Carrefour this whitish looking liquid which is for lubrication the rubbers at the side of the windows so that the power windows slide up and down smoothly.
bro,
u never wonder y some people open door at toll gate?
had to change my whole window drive assy.
motor, railing, cos some plastic bracket broke, before that, the same like you, use the waxco, then ok.
many friends driving satria, wira got same prob
My iswara have the same prob to.Put dos silicon spray also cannot.Open the door cover and check, found out that the x rail that gets ur window up and down already reach its age.the window 10s to move left&right. There is a screw to adjust at the right side of the door connected to the rails.Try to adjust that first for temp use.its advised to change the tingiii.
actually, proton inherited this problem from mitsubishi. u see, mitsubishi didnt have good knowledge on making power windows in the 80s and early 90s. it was evident in lancer, galant sigma and maybe super touring as well as tredia. proton suffered from pwr window problem designed by mitsubishi. too bad.
in my knowlegde, toyotas, hondas and nissan cars have good power window design and lasting for years.
but it all depends on usage. not all wiras are problematic.
Proton power window is a known problem where all the owners will definately faced. Kinda like a package, own a proton than sure u have the problem. Probably if u get the non-power window than different issue. I'm driving a wira myself and i have changed my power window for my 4 doors. I have purchased more than 10 set of power windows for my 4 doorfrom new and from kereta potong shop in the past 3 years. Most of the time is the cable snapped, or same problem as you mentioned. I heard so many tips from ppl saying that shouldn't open the window half, shouldn't play with the power window like pressing the closed window when the windows is already closed (itcy finger ppl loves to play with the button). IMHO, All also crap wan ar......i drive alone most time and hardly use the power window also it will spoil ar. Don't tell me it's spoilled coz i don't use it ar...muaahahaha......
my 2cent, it's a bloody stupid problem that seems NOT to have a permanent solution but an alternative, which is to change car!
Ok, so I don't really know the proper term for it but you all know what I'm referring to - the plastic panels that are on the B-pillar. I had lost mine awhile ago; was driving down the highway and the passenger side...
As the Petronas Malaysian GP 2010 at Sepang just around the corner, the race this year is surely not to be missed! We have the great - Michael Schumacher back! and also our Malaysian F1 team, Lotus F1 in action...
