no offense to anyone bout this topic.. but seriously..
what the f*ck does "daring to dare" mean?!

i think they (Proton) are embarassed of it as well. reason: you don't see this 'tag line' being printed on their banners/adverts and stuff like that.

bad enough they hire.. ..umm.... "special" car designers to design their cars.. now they've stuck to their tradition by hiring "special" slogan thinkers..

just some opinions.. feel free to share! ^_^

Hahaha, exactly, when I first heard it I was like "WTF :blink:" as well. I've always thought it was "Daring to change", but then when I heard "daring to dare".. well, its stupid really. I don't know what they're trying to tell us or what message it has behind that tagline, but personally for me, I think it's downright dumb.

It means something like " Daring to take up challenges ", in my opinion.
But its only a slogan. They're still producing 18 yo cars. : /

where others dare not Proton dare!

1. dare to give poor qc
2. dare to cheat customers
3. dare to take their own sweet time delivering cars
4. dare to sell the same model for 20 years
5. dare to boast alot, e.g. our gen.2 got best in class performance 1.6 campro engine, harrr?? macam tu B16A throw away lah??? :rolleyes:

etc etc...

our country slogan is also "malaysia boleh" where other countries
dare not we dare to do it and can (boleh) do it. <_<

some of you guys are asking whether it's "Dare To Change" or "Daring To Dare".. well from what i heard on Astro's AXN Extreme Challenge promo/advert.. when they start mentioning thr sponsors.. i heard the slogan (when the proton logo was displayed) was "Proton... ...Daring to dare.." ^_^

Hopefully Mahaleel's step down from Proton this year would bring some change to the company, and it's productionwise mentality. U see... malaysia is being held back from the real output capability by 'old men mind', and Proton is one of the failures around. These 'old men' stick to minimum cost productions and high margin. Issues are dumped to the public... *sigh... what a shame we live dictated by these 'old men'.
