My fren just "inherited" :D this car from his family.

Is it possible to plonk in SR20DET?

Anygood place to recomend in KL?

Budget?

Thanks in advance to all u NISMO-nians

PS : My fren is still considering whether setting the car for drifting or drag racing.

joeker, what's with the red bucket on the driver's side?? dun tell me it's for spittle la... :D

nice car...i suggest that if ur friend really want to transplant engine and keep the car for a long time...start with the rust treatment...and make sure the engine bay is no rust...plus doors...this is important...or else your transplanted car will go wasted...

OK tat wan later can do.

Basically he oledi allocated RM800 for roll cage. The Datsun chasis definately will not be able to withstand the torque of the new turbo engine.

But now first priority is for new engine. All the rust and lubang can tackle at later stage.

I saw one car like this in Bukit Kemuning yesterday. On top of it, is mounted a cage which I assume is to carry stuff. The rear and side windows are all gone. The body is rusty like hell. I wonder how this car can still be moving on the road.

how much this CA18DET engine and where can do this tranplant?

Because this is full custom mounting, experienced mechanic is needed I think.

bro joeker, I planned on injecting sr20's on my 120Y but due to lack of body technologies, i switched to ca18det. for your information, ca18det is also one of the powerful engines under the nissan label, my one comes from the model S13. still rebuilding the car at all aspects, bodyworks, interior, engine and even ice. as they say, nice to see, nice to hold, nice to drive.... not planning for a drifting project yet but planning to go for drag battles soon. its piston and cranks are able to sustaine bigger turbos. if u are really interested can view my car which are still under progress at shah alam. give me a call at 0123211124, we can exchange ideas on how the engines works on and off the road on your frens 'datsun buah kana'. :D :D :D
