I have seen people doing some upgrading on their tb like reboring it to bigger size for example from 60mm to 65mm...some even change the inlet manifold to a bigger one for example using the tep r inlet manifol as a substitute to stock b16a one...does this procedure improve performance of the car?in wat sense, pick up, trottle response, etc? If it does, how much hp and torque can this procedure help u to gain hp? Can this be done on a stock b16a or u have to upgrade other things such as cams, pistons, etc?

it can give better air flow. then sure hp increase. provided with tuning. torque not will not much increase since it reflect to displacement.

In a simple engineering, torque will increase when power is increase. Torque is the function of power in:-

HP = Torque x RPM / 5252 :regular_smile:

taliking bout power, wat would be the whp and max torque for b16a with b16b piston n cams roughly?

so dat means don't have to spend much for b16b engine kosong la kan...coz not much diffrent...hmmm...how much i hv to spend for pct piston+b16bcam then? do i hv to rechip the ecu oso?

pok nik, the WHP u get by changing from P30 to PCT with b16b cams might get close if not more than stock b16b engine itself...but bear in mind that the smoothness and responsiveness of the engine might not be the same as b16b...

btw, i wonder how much the highest torque for 1.6 turbo?
is it can be more than 16?

D16A sohc vtec stock, auto trany, td05h-14b, boost 0.6bar get 161whp@6779rpm and 177.2Nm@6159rpm. Dyno at speedworks.

nice number. 161whp before 7000RPM. surely it's not easy to tune on auto tranny vehicle...

Yeah... but this car using E-manage jer!

Mr. Hattech, can you chip obd2 auto trany car using avantec chip? :shades_smile:

But I heard ITB can gain much torque on b16 engine when tuned properly. Coz this ITB can produces force induction in NA form.

ITB = less restriction I think...

How can it push more air in? NA is about sucking... turbo's are about stuffing..

NA sucks.. :P
