NST: Mat Rempit dies in crash while racing

KOTA BARU: A 22-year-old Mat Rempit was killed when his motorcycle crashed while overtaking a car in Jalan Bechah Kura, near Peringat, early yesterday.

Witnesses said the victim, identified as unemployed Mohd Khairul Mat Ghani, was racing with another motorcycle when the accident happened at 12.45am.

His machine skidded after it grazed the car it was overtaking.

A witness said the car driver and several of Khairul’s friends sent him to the Universiti Sains Malaysia Hospital in Kubang Kerian where he died in the emergency unit about 1.20am.

Kota Baru traffic investigation officer Chief Inspector Zulkofli Said said the deceased died from head and body injuries.

I doubt there's 20 million rempits in malaysia. I think 20 million is entire malaysia's population. Or is it? What rempits need to feel are drivers who WILL knock them over on purpose when the rempits provoke them. The thing is, hardly a single driver dare to bang a rempit even after a rempit kick their car. That's why the rempits know that they are KING. If newspaper come out everyday that a rempit has been knocked down by a car and in the ICU or died, then they will start to fear cars.

Today I witnessed an accident involving a motorcycle with two people on it and a metrobus right in front of Wangsa Maju LRT station.
The motorcycle was travelling quite fast from far and as they approached the lrt station, one of those waiting metrobuses cut out to the motorcylist lane.
The motorcyclist can't brake in time and grazed the side of the metrobus.
The motorcycle fliped once after grazing the bus.
The two who were riding on board got thrown right at the road divider fencing in the middle of the road.
The one who was controlling the bike didn't tighten his helmet.
During the crash, his helmet flung out from his head and the helmet airborne to the otherside of the road.
After the impact, both of the motorcyclists were motionless.
I thought both of them had gone as the impact was so terrible.
But after a few moments, both of them manage to move their limbs a bit.
It was said that both were Malays and the bike was a Yamaha 125Z.
It's still a question whether they are mat rempits or not.
