Nissan Cefiro A31 Sunroof

hello to all nissan-ians out there....iam looking for the cefiro sunroof...if possible the whole top...or it dosent exist that i need to cut n install aftermarket ones ?

hey eci,

are you really sure you want a sun roof? the reason i ask this is if you get one it means cutting ur existing roof off and welding on the complete one wth the sunroof....this means rust problems my fren. A, B and C pillars will inevitably start rusting maybe a year to 3yrs down the road...It can get really ugly, and with rust...its almost impossible to get rid off.

Cutting a hole in the roof for an after market one would also cause the structural integrity of the roof to degrade... So if its just for looks and your current roof is fine, dont bother with the sunroof!

Just my 2 cents :P

actually im the one looking for the sun roof.. my roof already get cancer so i dont know wat to do.......may be u suggest me wat to do ....

About your 'roof cancer' problem, where is the 'cancer'? Is it on top of the roof or at the pillars? Depending how severe the rust is, it may be able to be treated but it is possible that it will rust again.

My suggestion is

1) To take it to a good knock and spray workshop, ask whether they can treat it and see how much it costs...if it is reasonable then just do it and that may last you for a few years...depending(on the workmanship of the workshop)

2) If it is very costly to do OR if the rust is already very bad, then go source for a roof and chop chop. But if you do this make sure that you take it to a good workshop where you know they will do a good job. I know off one cefiro which changed the roof but the workshop mech did a shit job
Now cancer on all pillars!!


So you have to see first...whether rust very teruk and whether you got budget.
But be warned no matter how good a job....rust will always happen, maybe not so soon but within 3 to 5yrs you will get rust problems again

:P I got mine ( but now it's topui11's) replaced with the sunroof cause mine was cancerous already, While I was doing that I got the whole roof de-rusted and painted over with air-plane anti rust material courtesy of AIROD hahahahahahaha....make sure you get someone who knows his stuff or you will be stuffed later! :lol: :lol: :P

Don't touch the roof unless absolutely necessary..........topui11 now gets free hairwash everytime it rains :lol: :lol:

difficult to find person who really can do this...
some tell me even i repair this it come again..
is there got any prevention for this cancer......

hey bro,
its a tough decision, as i mentioned before...rust will always come back, its just a matter of time.
My advise to you is the same as Devious...if your roof aint falling apart...dont replace it! Find a pro at rust work and get your roof treated...and cross you fingers. You will probably be safe for the next 3 to 5yrs.
When the rust comes back...who knows, u probably go buy a GTR by then!

he's still winding bout it....sigh sigh sigh....but i think just send to spray shop can kautim for few years...should haf warranty for 6 months or so for the cancer(pox) to reappear....then 3 or 4 yrs later can spray again mah.. :lol:

1st blue,but simpan coz no transport to take...
2nd maroon, found while jalan² at chopshop,same time got transport and installed it to car...since got 1 spare, sell it off.. month after sold, car crash into sungai..heh..suweyy!
3rd darkblue, waiting to install any moment in this month...

original roof,still have..nice n xcelent cond..at batang kali...dunno
wht 2 do with it... :P
