SEPANG: Two businessmen were bludgeoned on the head then robbed after they got down from their car following an “accident”.
Yoong Wai San, 27, and Chai Kai Fui, 21, were on their way to Puchong from Negri Sembilan when the staged accident occurred near KLIA yesterday.
After their car was hit by another vehicle, the two businessmen alighted to inspect the damage.




Two men got down from the other car and while the four men were discussing settlement, another car pulled up.
The third car’s driver and passenger then assaulted the businessmen with iron rods, relieved them of RM300, two handphones, a laptop, and a digital camera and made off with the victims’ car.
A passing motorist took the victims to a private hospital in Seremban where they have been warded.

Anyone have any 'useable' ideas or suggestions when confronted with this kind of situtation?

I mean the safest thing to do would be to take down his number plate and lodge a police report but if the damage is minor, most people would rather 'settle' on the spot lah. Then again, it could be a stolen car or the plates could be fake. Thing is even if you are in a crowded area, you could still be robbed as the Malaysian public will not lend a hand. Would the most sensible thing then be to forget about the damage and cut your losses by driving off?

I think the most important thing you could well remember to do in situations such as these is to be aware of everything. If it looks bad ie. outnumbered, bastards look like they are up to no good, another car or motorcycles coming, etc. You should know what could happen, watch out for the telltale signs. If trouble comes, don't be a hero, just get in your car and go. Keep a bludgeoning weapon handy ie. steering locks etc. Go to the cops. Of course, always remember the number plate.

having an old, non-appetizing car would help too, but thats not an option i suppose. premeditated robberies would mean the robbers probably know how well off u are or see the things u brought into the car anyway.

im still glad im driving a junky car, the chances of anyone staging an accident for profit is at least lesser.

Is almost similiar to this case but not rob...

It happened in my town that day... a motorcycle with 2 person hit a collora ae101 that driving by a leng lui still with "P". Leng lui are the one make the mistake... so the motor guys unhappy with it and move on to the ae101 and call the girl out from the car but the girl scared so she just stay in the car...

The guys are actually wanted to hit the leng lui but the lock the herself in the car. so those 2 guy cant do anything then they take their helmet and hit the windscreen and kick the door...

Some motorists pass by horned them to stop. and 1 of the guy go up to another motorist and did the same thing... but 1 of his other friend try to stop him...
This the big case for the police.....

If any like this happen some1 hit your car or whatever... As my opinion

For girls better just stay in the car and lock it then try to call(phone) some1 for help. If the guy trying to do something bad, if ur car still car drive than drive away.
If cant try to hold the horn for attention...

For man, posible to have some weapon in the car (but is out of law) depends on you. if you are alone and they are few of them you better just stay back in your car... If you have some friends with you then totally difference...

Just worry for girl, i mean like your sister, wife, mom, gf or friends when they driving alone....
