newbie ask for opinion~!

hi everyone....i am a newbie here and wanna ask for help from those taiko and expert in ICE. i plan to install a cd/mp3 player, new speaker, an Amp...in short just 1 set of sound system for my car lar...but budget very low...just around 1K...bcoz my requirement not very high....i more like the oldies classical song....so any suggestion?i totally dunno where to start...and which brand is good...hope someone from here can help me...thanks thanks thanks ar....

To start with, just nstall a HU and a set of front comps.
Then power the comps with the HU's built-in amp.
Later, add an amp with built-in crossover.
Later, add a single sub.
Later, hehehehe-be ready for that painful but enjoyable upgrade path!! :lol:

go with HU (Pioneer is a good start) and some component or coaxial. that will be enough for NOW. But then you will start to feel itchy again.

ps:when someone recommend you some Bra-x or Mcintosh - run for your life.

u can try upgrade slowly 1 by 1...hu...n then component set...n then amp...n then sub n amp 2 run sub :lol:

with your budget i will recommend you to buy second hand to get a decent pair of component. try hunt around or go to iascamalaysia buying and selling. its the same for HU. I'm not saying you should aim for pioneer only but if you dont mind used one can get some good HU also (apline or Eclipse).

the Pioneer you should be looking is the 4650 or the 5550.

as for component or coaxial, it depends on your preferences. Different ppl looking for different quality.

For new one i recommend pioneer, not expensive but sound cun one. For second many option but try to buy from veteran forumner, more credible and better assurance. Second hand HU prone to problem one in my opinion.. Normality78 clarion is quite good investment.. ;) he also sell CDT comp. new cheap2.. why not give a try.

who know after CNY got angpow kow2 one.. hehehe..

alpine is very xpensiv....n wit its region of price...theres many other brand tat performs better...

n bout MTX sub...i dunno about MTX 3000...but i was quoted rm800 4 MTX 8000 12"

sky_lor....getting a new HU..u can feel theres some changes in the sound edi...4 example pioneer...most of em has built in mosfet amplifier...50wattx4

if can stretch ur budget a bit...get a 4 channel amp...n get the avantgarde valaraine comp set...well...cheap but yet...sounds really nice...

you better state what you expect for our 1k.. cuz we can recommend a Hu for the whole 1k or spekaers for 1k also...

but if you are expecting a Hu and speakers, how abotu a Pioneer 5x50 and a set of HJelix Dark Blue speakers? Should be abotu the budget for both.
