Need Help

to all honda bros, anyone here come accross idling problem in their vtecs whereby the damn idling goes so strange until my mechs dont have any idea what is going on. is like this:

- idling at 900rpm (FINE)
- step brake - free gear rpm at 1.5k (FINE)
- SUDDENLY, it drops to 500rpm (Engine sounds like going off)
- IF LUCKY, rpm goes back to 800-900rpm
- IF NOT LUCKY, engine dies off
- IF ON AIRCOND, (needless to say) burm burm burm engine dies off.

Things done for this shitty problem
- FICD already installed
- idling damn hard to set higher or lower for throttle body because if set higher, i step brake the rpm goes up to 2.5krpm (WEIRD)
- idling valves (already clean, got FICD somemore, should work!!!!)


any ideas anyone?

same problem la bro.... i cant find out what problem also... my car when start only 600rpm..... when idling max 750rpm..... throttle all had been clean and FICD installed also.. same problem.... some more my car once vtec engage pull till 8k rpm.... check light come out... OMG.... :(

Just in case you haven't done it, tried putting in a stock ECU?

thanks for the replies everyone. i think i will swap in a stock ecu and see, riezal i actually thought of that too, i felt that is something electrical, the ecu might be the caused

chee yen, i thought the check light thing solved already? it really sounds like map sensor, u might want to suggest the mechs to check it out

aiyo..... o2 sensor spoil twice edi..... fix... spoil again... and also i pasang vafc the mechanic said vafc 5600 rpm engage vtec and feel's chip 5800 rpm engage vtec... so the check engine light will on unless u fix a relay... i done edi.... this time dun tell me is this 2 thing happen to me again.....

one question, y is 02 sensor also spoil... any idea any1? i have not check with my mechanic why the cheak light is on when engage vtec...

welcome to the club..i just ignore it~
now u 'terpaksa' learn left foot braking ler..

one foot on the gas pedal - maintaining the gas~
one foot on the brake pedal..

later when solve the problem..
nahhhh....mastered the left foot braking tech edi~heheh

o2 sensor meh?? i don't know which sensor already but it's the one behind tb.

check light on while vtec engagement normally due to AF. so shouldn't be o2

O2 sensor kongked also detected by ECU .. me had this problem .. especillay when langgar puddle during heavy rain .. after few days, okay ..

check the sensor, mebe got disconnected or dirty ..

maybe your cam setting runaway....last time i set back my cams then it back to normal
