Need help with Charade Aura

I own a charade aura 1.3L. i would like to change the engine to a turbo engine. Anyone out there can tell me what type of engine is suitable?? I'm new in modifying car.. Would be a great help if expert can help me with this.
 
Hi avirus79,

Since u're using charade aura, converting to gtti (cb70) should be the correct choice...Less hassle in terms of approval & its plug & play...

cb79 izzit same as g100? there is 1 shop is offering me g100 for rm3.8k exl workmanship. Is the price around that range?
 
Hi avirus79,
CB70 is the code for engine which is a 3-cylinder 1.0litre turbocharged twin-cam engine.
G100 is the code for car chassis which is basically the charade Aura / Aura CX or whatever you call it.

So for the RM3.8k, if it's the CB70, yup, that's the price. Make sure it comes with the engine strut bar, rear disc brake and also the front disc brake.
 
Agreed to tibun.... If u lucky u might get the diagonal gtti meter (oil-turbo type speedo meter) a.k.a meter condong...or straight meter (water-turbo type speedo meter)...
Better to spare some cash around 1k to 2k extra, for other spareparts...timing belt, clutch plate, labour cost (workmanship) & etc...:)

Never transplanted a GTti, but I believe similar to Detomaso transplant, if your original engine is carburettor (eg CB23 / HC-C) then you need to transplant to an injector fuel tank (eg CB70 / HC-E) to work together with the EFI.
 
my current aura is a hc-c. so i guess..i'll stick with the CB70. Guess i need to fork out around rm8k for the whole car. Thank you Sifu's. I gain lots of knowledge from you guys.. any more thing i need to know so that those kereta potong dun cheat me...
 
Do you guys have any kereta potong to recommend?? so i can call them up and check out with them

hey hey, im using the same car adn same engine ;) having loads of problem with the carbie tho...farking fuel guzzler....hahahhaha :confused_smile: any tips on leaning up the fuel on the carb?

im looking for eng N.A 1.3 or 1.6. My question is i don know whether eng. 1.6 can fix to my G100 or not ahhh?

Daihatsu Charade Detomaso 1.6 can fix to your G100.

avirus, if you really enthusiastic, you can find 4E starlet engine also (1.3 turbo). Many would agree to go for that. Coz CB70 not easy to find. You may try the suggestion given by g100s on the contacts :_:

u can transplaont deto into g100 engine bay, but required mounting reallocation...rite guys?
 
cb70 : no idea, but definately can't get on RM2K. Need other forumers to confirm.
For abx1386 case, yes you are right.
 
The reason i'm want to change to turbo engine is because my carb and compressor spoit already. And mechanic say that my gearbox is going to as well. So i think by getting a half cut is better then to replace all the spare parts. Don't you think so ?

Some ppl do suggest me of getting the starlet but they say it might not pass JPJ. Is that true ???

Yes.COz u need to change/adjust some mouting bracket.

I prefer u to change to GTti 1.0 as it like plug n play with your aura.Futhermore is easier to be endorse as it same manufatured and same cc.Only 1.0cc to 1.0t.

Just get try to test drive or to sit inside an aura with GTti 1.0 turbo.U feel the different.

If u still want to go for the starlet engine is up to u.im :mouth_closed:

i think i'm going to stick with the gtti engine. Sound much better with the plug and play engine. But is kind of pricey... Got to work out my budget on that. Thanks for all the information by you sifu's out there...
 
Once converted, u may ask any sifus in here rgding technical tips & etc on gtti engine...They're all willing 2 help u....

Like cat eyes said, definitely u'll love the great difference in terms of performance (pickup & speed) between driving 1.0 NA and 1.0 T...
