Need advise on celica ST202

Hello guys,

I am new here. Need expert advise on my celica ST202 (yr 1994).My current engine is 3S-GE. Is it possible to change with 3S-GTE engine(ST205 model) or 3S-GTE(ST185 model)?

you should get st205 coz more like a bolt on for you.......u can use back your 202 gearbox if it is a manual gearbox.......

What about install a supercharger. How is the performance compared to ST205 turbo. Sorry, dunno much about toyota

If you look for high hp,go for turbo , if you look for easy driving , comfortable ,
go for supercharger . it all depend what you want.

Anybody know how much St205 half cut? any tokeh half cut having it now?

hard to find.......at least RM7K...........i found 1 eng kosong + wiring but didn't ask bout the price......

Hard to find that half cut. I explored Penang and Sg Petani area but that model so 'sejuk'. Hard to find and hard to sell.
Anybody find the half cut, please provide me the half cut tokeh phone no,website,email,etc.

st185 more easy to find... last month i saw 1 unit at bentong...selling RM3200... dunno now still available or not...
long time i didn't see any st205 h/cut...

You may find it at Butterworth(Ujong Batu), Bkt Mertajam (Bkt Tengah) or Sg Petani. The price is about 3k. I am not sure about condition coz i am looking for ST205.
Are you sure ST185 can fit into ST202? What about the mounting? Is it same with St202? What is ST185hp?

i believed ur st202 yr 94 model is still using standard McPherson suspension system for ur front n back... superstructs is only available at ST202 model after year 97... ;-)

u can fit in a st185 to ur st202... but y wanna downgrade ur engine yr made?! go for st205 if u want turbo... else drive it in stock...

pls contact SW YAP for crazy tuning of ST202 3SGE... it is FAST... n Furious...

well, 185 is possible to transplant to 202. But, there's slightly mod at mouting and padel, if auto to manual. but not very easy thing.

if you're going for turbo, due to market demand and lack of stock of st205, althought is not as good as st205. but st185 is the best choice. it's cheap

supercharged an GE, not sure. as i dont usually hear alot, maybe there is someone doing it. but no comment.

if you want a st205, there's one on hand but super expensive. this guy is doing exporting to oversea and there's one unit available anytime at puchong. and its going out fast. i've asked the price from my mech and cause of relastionship only able to get one, 8k plus.
