Moving to Malaysia: finding good FD/FC

I am moving to Malaysia in 2 weeks. I am from Germany and will stay for 6 months for work.
I am looking for a car in that time.
I have looked at this and other boards to find cars, but there are not many. I've also looked at other cars such as s13-s15, evo, etc., but cars are generally is such incredibly bad condition that I don't even want to look at them.

I wanted to know what a decent FD or FC (tuned and stock) will cost on the market and what places can be trusted to be bought from. I will be in the KL area.

welcome to malaysia dude (in advance) .. when you arrived go to magazine shop and buy "motor trader" lots of cars to view :D .. and bring someone that can be trusted

They are avaialble in various price ranges, they all depend on the modded parts and conditions. If you are going to stay for 6 months, just go for an affordable and good condition one.

A modded FC with large turbine setup can cost up to RM3xk to RM4xk, with the aftermarket performance parts and gadgets. A stock FC Mark 5 Series (91) can cost you between RM35k to RM45k.
Market price for a stock FD is RM6xk to RM7xk and it depends on the conditions. Bad conditions FD you might need to restore it you can get it below than RM60k.
Loaded with single turbo setup, aftermarket parts, etc would cost between RM7xk to RM9xk. RM100k and above for heavy modded setup or the 99Spec stock model. For instance, the spirit R (2002 model) can cost you RM220k. As far as I know there is one in Sabah, East Malaysia.

Bodykits for FD/FC are available in Malaysia. They are replica, made of FRP from as little as RM2k to RM2xk for full bodykit. A genuine full bodykit from Japan can cost more than RM5xk. But I dont think you would like to spend this kind of money since you will only stay for 6 months.
