MLOC September 05 Event - Southern convoy
- MLOC Invites Sprint Event.
- MLOC member, BoostZone Motorsports opening
- MLOC Sagil waterfall convoy
Venue: Pasir Gudang Track, Johor Bahru
We are extending this invitation to our member and more importantly, our MEOC and FTO brothers !
On the 3rd Sept, it would be a close race event for competition. Usualy is open to all public cars for free sprint on SAT nigh (like Batu Tiga lar) but not tonight. This is a DRAG event and not a track race.
There will be a couple of category and prize for each category winners. we (mloc) had discussed this with the organising and Pasir Gudang management and they are willing to
have an extra event for us as a publicity or supporting event (with some fees) and we will be given advertisement, banners and pit of ours. I am discussing for sponsers now for the event fee and coverage/advertisement and prize (yeah...MLOC category). It will be put into papers by the race organisers. Usualy it will be ard 10K for such publicise event that includes all the advertising, throphy for our category and prize money/vouchers.
I need to have at least 20 cars and so far, MLOC and our invites should be ard 8-10 cars
participating downsouth. As for mechanical supports (engine failures/tyres..etc), I'll have
the arrangement IN PIT for us on this MLOC drag day. We will have our own PIT !
We'll have a hell of a photo shoot out and coverage by motorsports media ! hehe..
BoostZOne motorsports opening:
On the 4th, well be visiting our MLOC member shop opening..got lar some food and the best part, Hypertune magazine will be covering this event and we can again, show off lar our event..hehe. Refer to :

Accomodation:
As for accommodation, I've arrange for a very nice resort in town (for safety reason, no names) and parking are safe. Is a strict and controlled resort and public are restricted..is
safe for our 'baby' ! Those who are still uncomfortable, I'll arrange for your baby to park in our fellow MLOC homes in JB..how about that ? I've check around JB and most of the hotels are fully booked and mostly by KL and/or S'pore enthuiast to visit this southern drag competition. can you imagine the crowd ?
For those members who doesn't want to sprint, you can come and support this event. You can help lar, become our MLOC official and hang around inside our PIT. Can also help fella member tukar tyre or give field support..lol.
I am open to suggestion and if you think is too short stay, we can extend or have it earlier by a day and I can think of more agenda. For now, this is what I am planning. Again, unless we can have a least 20 partipant/cars, I can't have this drag event and we can only 'duduk tepi and watch' lor..haha.
Lastly, again I am extending this to all MEOC and FTO club members and together with both MLOC and our MEOC brothers support, we can make this event happen. Let's show what Mitsu is all about !

1.30pm - Convoy meet-up (Sg. Besi toll ?)
2.00pm - Depart and head to Nilai rest area for lunch
3.00pm - Continue journey and head down south (cruising ah..no speeding pls)
6.00pm - Reach JB (3 hrs sure enuff lar..) and visit our MLOC member garage for last min
check-up/tune/anything lar..if needed. (special discount..no worries)
7.00pm - Check in hotel, rest.
8.30pm - Dinner time..
9.30pm - convoy to Pasir gudang (abt 15mins frm town)
10.00pm - Pit check in, vehicle weighing/inspection by race official (NOS will fail !)
10.30pm - Warm up, test sprint, (time to be confirmed)
11.00pm - Competition begins (categories agak2 as below, can't remember lar)

- Kancil turbo category
- Vtec Category
- 2WD turbo Category
- 4WD turbo Category
- Open category
1st run follow by 2nd run, quarter final, semi final and final. They will go through all category for one run, then back to the 1st category for 2nd run to the last category, then back to 1st category for semi final..so on and so forth.
1.00am - Prize giving event lar..
1.30am - Convoy out and supper
2.30am - Convoy back hotel TIDUR !
4th Sept:
10.00am - Meet-up and head for Boostzone motorsports opening (got lar food).
12.00pm - After hanging ard, pictures taken..etc, we head back to hotel for check-out
and perhaps Mandi.
1.00pm - Head to visit Mutiara Motors Motorsports Showroom (Trust/Greddy/Grex official
sole distributer M'sia) in JB. Have to confirm if they are open or not.
2.00pm - Sight seeing around JB city (drive ard lar)
2.30pm - Convoy back to NS highway heading north
4.00pm - Exit to Tangkak, head for Sagil waterfall. Very nice and well known natural
waterfall at the based of Gunung Ledang. Can lar 'pak toh' a bit there and play
with water..have spares clothing ready.
6.00pm - Break for food, dinner
7.00pm - Continue journey back north
8.30pm - Should reach KL by now ! Last round of gathering/break/makan and we call it a
day !
P/s: I did not specify visiting S'pore as some might not have valid passport/travel document and to save time/avoid jam. If you think we should drive into S'pore, perhaps we want to go downsouth earlier by a day ??
Fee: Sprint (RM80), Accomodation (RM180 p/room).
Partipant: ( I need at least 20 cars for the sprint or we can just read this event from magazine next month :-( )
