I'm agree with the Microtech in BT.... BTW, i think EG9 are more experiance in standalone ECU on BT... you can ask his advise lor... :_:

thx bro scomatic....i got to try to pm EG9... BTW... if compare wit other ECU like TRD, TOM etc etc.... which 1 can give more performance? mircotech or others ECU? how much is a TOM's ECU for BT? i oni know mircotech will cost cost rm4300 (Mircotech LT-10s) including tuning for BT....

Microtech la.. bro... Everything can be customize...
The TRD, TOM's, Blitz, and Buddy Club aftermarket ECU faced 1 problem is at the ECU can make the customized lor... and cannot compatible (cannot push the MAX Power) with the High CAM

Freedom, Haltech or Motec.

All above standalone able to run on close loop and Freedom & Motec have autotune function.

or else you can try Syncron ECU which is standalone as well. Able to customise to be plug n play ECU.

Not much effect on N/a engine, try source for performance ecu such as TRD,Toms,Imec,MInes etc

additional info, TRD ECU is very hard to get, Toms, Imec and Mines still possible but hard to get as well for blacktop 20V.

All above mentioned ECU is customised for their origin engine spec. If your car engine is stock internal, make sure you get the ECU that customised for N1 spec engine which they will retain all stock internal but just lighten it.

TRD, TOMs, Mines, Imec is all rechip ECU which still maintain the original ECU PCB board. Normally they produce the ECU to according to the spec that you request. Above ECU only available in used unit. (Kedai Potong or used peformance part seller).
Normally you won't know the exact spec that the ECU set for. So there is no the BEST ecu to suite your car from the above ECU except you can get the ECU that tune to N1 Racing spec in Japan.

The best ECU is the ECU that able to tune to maximize your engine spec output which normally standalone ECU able to do that. Good tuner is a must for this standalone ECU.

Best ECU = Standalone ECU + Great Tuner.

Yes.... The Best ECU is Standalone and have a good tuner......
I can seggest can go to GT Auto.....

bro synchron... im from sabah here....

bro EG9...my engine is still stock internal, and means that i shld get a standalone ECU, so that if i want to upgrade the internal of my engine then i can recustomized the setting anytime. BTW..it can push to maximize the performance of the engine output spec.

plz correct me if im wrong.... nooby here... :X-:

Which part of Sabah are you from?

Depending on what you want actually! Is ur car a street car or a drag car?

If you are in KK i personally recommend using Haltech, you get haltech from Melvin Sejaya autopart! They got a good tuner there!

If you want something which is very budget, then you can approach Ah Lun, he deals with microtech all the time!

You are so happen to be in Sandakan then you can look my Bro in law! He will be able to install and tune Synchron ecu for you!

It is also about the support! If you want to have something which is fuel economy and all the sensors working with the car! i would recommend Synchron ecu or Haltech!

Microtech does not have knock sensors and also o2 sensors is for display only, microtech will not compesate on the o2 sensors! You will need all the sensors working since Sabah got alot of high and low altitude places! They are very important for fuel economy!

I want to give u and a good advise (for more save money invest in Standalone ECU) la.... and this is Step by step upgrade schedule:

1. try to doing the Engine basic upgrade 1st. Such as:
- Change the Plug Cable to performance 1. like TRD, Tom's, Blitz, or HKS.
- Change the ignition distributor to racing type. Such as HKS twin Power
- Change the Performance or Racing Spark Plug
- Extractor, Piping and Muffler.

2. Try to do in more aggressive light weight job. Such as:
- Light weight flywheel
- Light weight Pulley
- Valve (If money available)

3. Try to do all the balancing. Such as:
- Flywheel
- Pully
- Cam

4. If the money still available, try to do the Port Poslish.

5. Then just install the Standalone ECU.

You know why more save money? Because after u done that upgrade, the whole car might be not same as standard mean just tune at 1 time to settle everything. Meanwhile, u just waste the money on tuner in 1 time nia lor. No need to tune again and again la... But as EG9 said, u need to find best tuner for best performance. :_:

Have a nice try!

bro synchron... mine oni a weekend car, if for drag depends on the time achieve after all the upgrade...so i dun mind about the FC :X-: ...i try approaching ah lun b4...thats the price he gave me... for tuning, i might bring my over to kk or he come over to tune for me...

bro scomatic... i like ur upgrade schedule very much... thx... i will done all the steps 1st b4 i plug in the ECU.... :X-: i oni done half of ur step... bro scomatic... do u think i shld upgrade the block to 7A too? :_: nooby here......

thx
