Hi guys, just want to share with you all that I found a mechanic very humble and knowledgable in car maintainance.

Panner (pronouce as "pa nir") at Shell Petrol Station outside Armada Hotel next to Federal Highway. Armada Hotel is opposite Hilton Hotel PJ.

I'm not saying he knows everything in this world, but he surprise me quite a few things on my 1st visit. Thought me many things too and not at all selfish and was extremely humble and don't mind telling me anything or asking anything.

His business ethics is also very good.

Since it's a Petrol Station, open space workshop hence not many people go there for major work, all the customers that I've seen today are only basic servicing, changing engine oil, filters etc.

I was the only one did allot allot of things and he could concentrate on my car from 1:30 pm till 7pm.

If you are in a hurry and needs many things to be done in one day or half and needs a mechanic willing to pay allot of attention on your car, no waiting long long ..... can go to him. :)

Haih .............. I don't want to say this ......... because going to get ........ from everyone liao...... but no choice lah, sharing sharing benchmark lah.

I did

1) change final drive
2) change one oil seal
3) change rear rotors
4) lightly skim rear rotors
5) change rear brake pads
6) sand paper and re-grease drive shaft bearing
7) change gearbox
8) change front wheel HUB, bearing, rotor
9) change front brake pad
10) put in oil for gearbox
11) put in oil for axle
12) service one brake caliper
13) careful checking of all items along the way as if servicing own car (even without asking) [but somethings I ask for]
14) advice accordingly ......

All labour for RM250 except skim rotors not yet charge me and I forgot to pay him oil seal RM10. All the oils was provided by myself as well as brake pads.

Hahahhah stupid me. He also bodoh bodoh let me go, because he is toyota KAKI, drives a AE92 berger with 16v 4AG with allot more goodies to come.

If you guys wants a CLUCTH LSD FF C56, JASMA extractor, TRD clutch set and what lot ....... can go service there :)

But don't say I say ........... by the way, what did I say? I didn't say anything right?

RIGHTtttttttttttttttt :)

BTW, Bendix Metal King Plus brake pads for front sucks - tiu - pui

BTW, KING brake pads for rear sucks - tiu - pui

wasted my $$$$ - tiu - pui - I want a refund :(

think also geram now ....................... arrrrggghhhhhhhhh

boss,

good writeup la....

btw, I've had bad experiences on metal king brake pads...it's your worst rotors' nightmare... <_<

I see, I've heard some really good comments and some really bad ones.

Since I've always been using no brand cheapo pads for under RM50 so I thought I tried metal king.

I've not got good brakes like sifu master yolk since my day one mod car :(

Aiihhh, looks like I cannot run away from modifying the RX7 brakes into my car liao ............ shxt - cannot be lazy :(

Aiyo Metal King famous for eating rotors la... hehehe

Chin,

Previously on my RAV.. i took out the metal king and rather use the stock Toyota ones.... if u notice, during trffic jam, as u lightly / gently tap on the brake paddles.... u can hear the pads biting on the disc and go 'ngoorkk' ... and feel the vibration on the pedals... on d stock pads.. well, no such thing.. i feel the stock pads work better.. provided u skim the discs first...

Good that u found such a good workshop.. rarely can find humble and down to earth workshop ...adn honest one too!!! :)

btw, i see lotsa old school cars parked near the shell station too

sifoo master Chin you were in the workshop when i called you this afternoon ah? sorry ah for disturbing!

anyway, i am happy today because all my major problems are now solved! running back my MCSB VVT like normal liao. Saying bye bye to my engine check light on liao   my burned fius also replaced with a new one liao

also i have re-wiring back my fuel pump to get the maximum power, should i say volt, it needed which caused the fius to melt :( also, just teka teka which wiring to be tarik from the ECU, and i guess right :D ... putting a mini bulb on the fuel pump wiring to ensure it is functioning while the new relay done it's job very well

metal king bendix brake pad eat rotor? hmmm.. for me ok so far so good not a weird sound oso.. why? i oso duno.. hheehehehhe... :) jasma extractor? mech driving ae92 16v engine? hmmm.. looks like i can make frens wif him.. :)

Mike

If you guys wants a CLUCTH LSD FF C56, JASMA extractor, TRD clutch set and what lot ....... can go service there

LEE, sorry I couldn't answer you properly at that time ....... the delivery boy reached at the same time and I need to sort out the compatibility of the brake pads issue with him and settle payment ......

Mike, metal king no problem for you kah, good lah. I hope so too.

chin,
maybe u kena tipu buy fake metal king plus? :P
aiya, next time go buy EBC lor.
sure satisfied coz $$$.
else use ori pads with slotted and cross-drilled disc.

is it the same mechanic with the red drift machine?

cheers!

yea nice place... i use to go there for service long ago but before it was a chinese guy. now only go for car wash.

hey chin, try la EBC la
i think i had that EBC brake pad in my car for more since late 2003, so far so good lor....
heheheh thinkin of putting EBC green stuff when i go back to KL on summer 2005.

chin need ebc red stuff minimum la but i heard he wanna get yellow stuff instead .. coz he said yellow is for "dirty" fellow  ....... muahahahahah

Hehehe Chin needs blue stuff la.... hehehe

EBC Greens are quite good. But very dusty under excessive use. Red stuff can crack if not heat-cycled properly under heavy use.

wah, why so many rules one :(

Anyway, what's done done :( - cannot "back to the future" so stick with it for another 2 years lor. Hopefully

I've used the EBC black-stuff b4 and quite good. It cost me abt RM100 only for the BT front single port. Overall is worth it.
