Lowering My Celica Ta22

hi guys. long time i didnt log in.

i want to lower my celica as it looks so high! :o
what spring and absorber can i use? what brand?
or can i use springs and absorber from different model car?
can anyone suggest any?

i think TA22's suspension design is like 86's???
strut top, knuckle....everything shud be interchangable?

i'm not very sure abt this..
but i think they are the same...

if same as 86's, just source for the abs and springs from halfcut shop
lots of them outside :)

Titan........custom coilover, no need to worry so much bout using other cars suspension.

and also, what is the standard original exhaust pipe size for the ta22?
thinking of upgrading my exhaust.

haha,i'm still using ori shock n spring oh... no $$ now.
86's shock front rm200+- per peirce and back 100+ frm hc shop.depent on luck to get it.spring i'm not too sure oh....

my car's colour is silver met.
the other one is at the spraying shop, colour lime green.
sky999, is your car the blue colour with XX 327 Q plate number?

saw 2 silver tht is very nice.1 sibu plate 1 kch plate 8488 but heard tht car won't for sell cos father giv to her daughter 1.my fren try offer her be4.

haha.... ya,mine is blue with giant wing.not 327 lah.1 digit wrong.ya... sure u will c my car at huising area cos i stay at stampin only.i heard 86 rear spring can't using on our celica but shock can.

no money to convert these cars... stay stock only as im still student.
my silver one is sibu plate and the one currently spraying is kch plate (will be sell to my brother).


your car quite nice! but why not use deep dish rims? will look more fierce! :P

wooaah!! i live at stampin also! :blink: the government flat near BDC. there's also one 2nd gen celica there, really nice! black color.

if like that, whar rear spring can be use to our celica? hmmm....
btw, did u see the red celica which always park at dr. kon clinic at satok area? really nice!! respect whoever owns that car. gotta love the tyre he's using! bridgestone eager. wish i had those tyres. :o

sibu plate?? wah.... u jz bought frm the car dealer ah ?? i heard it selling at high sky price lah.

my car far far look is nice,come nearer can see rust here n there.haven got $$ sent to respray yet.haha,i got another set 16' at home.plan to pasang after i spray the car.

i think can use 86's spring but hav to use 86 spring tapak loh.celica's 1 is much smaller.

saw few celica tht is nice in kch.red?? got slighty skirt 1 izzit?thts 4agte inside. the other red n nice celica running 4age 20v.damn ganas oh.....

i only lowered it by lowering the spring tapak,reduce the length of the absorber shaft/rod/whatever and add some extra minyak absorber.rear, i only cut the spring..susah sangat mau dapat performance part.performance wise...can't fight aftermarket parts la but better handling skit than standard.gayat la... :D

btw anyone wants a 3rd gen celica, ra60 2.0 xt...selling for...

tips for rear absorber.
just grab vitara absorber since its quite hard.
its suitable for comfort driving connering and even drifting.

so its hard for u to get over steer and turn 360 while connering coz this
car is really light and easy to turn 360.
