but i test drive yesterday the vios and spectra...both perform quite well ..i dont feel any diff in terms of power between these 2 cars..i mean i can't feel big diff... unlike the hyundai accent which got serious underpower problem.. correct me if i am wrong
Compared to Vios and City, the spectra is expensive to maintain. So far all the spectra owners that I know both have had severe problems with their cars. My cousin's one timing belt snapped (not due to the belt, other problems) and the other spectra owner I know had to do major overhaul because of engine oil leaking or whatever problem. All spare parts must be ori parts and they aren't cheap. Hell.. even the air filter and oil filter must get ori cuz others don't fit or something.
Poser car? I think not.
Good car? I personally think not.
Would I get this car? Definitely not.
For that kinda money (80K) I'd rather you buy a Vios and soup it up with ICE and performance parts.
mivec, well. not really. I mean, u have lots of options for parts for a proton or a mitsu, nissan or even a honda car. You can get branded, originals or even cap ayams for these 4 car types. You won't be able to find any cap ayams for a spectra.
A spectra for 72k? See? A 1.6 car selling for 72K vs a Vios selling at a little more.. doesn't that tell you something in its build quality? The only Kia worth buying in my opinion is the supercar concept car that they built. :D Don't compare with protons cuz they are govt subsidized.
And if you haven't noticed already I have a thing against Kia. :D I was in the spectra when the timing belt snapped. Signs of something going wrong : A fully depressed pedal and the car can only go 40km/h and very slowly gains acceleration at which you'll never go uphill if no momentum. When that belt snapped, the car skidded, steering locked, brakes didn't work and thank god the hand brake still stuck to the road a bit.
kia car, fuel comsumption damn high...unless u're too rich for petrol...if not top up abit go for city or vios, kinda good FC and power...balance wat?...
a member of this forum once told me that the gearbox for the sephia was problematic and the car is underpowered too.. not sure cuz i've never test driven a kia before..
Bottom line is, the car has no power, drinks fuel, no street cred, reliability nothing to shout about, expensive spareparts, and the list goes on. Oh yea, I remember the steering wheel felt cheaper and harder than my Kelisa's.
For 70-80k, you have a couple of choices of new cars with pretty much the opposite of the above. Get a Kia only if you want to zealously show how much you hate Proton...at your own expense.
this car ar...comfy ok lah...
wat power 2 xpect from this bulky 1600kg car??!! damn heavy mah...
