any idea of k20a piston+con rod into the b20b?

As i know as k20 86 MM piston its can prefect fit to b20b Block due on the some modification but how bout the con rod

any idea from member who prefer honda here?

not familiar with dimensions of the K20A.. sorry.

Just wondering though, since I'm curious as well...

1) what is the diameter of the wrist pin of K20A pistons.. same as B-series?
2) what is the distance of the wrist pin centerline to the top of the piston?
3) what is the width of the crank journals of the K20A?

I'm asking about the above because the sizes would determine what rod to use (whether B20B rods/K20A rods) and also the necessary rod length required without having the piston popping out too much from the block. Theoretically, if the sizes are the same, you just have to find the rods to get the ideal rod ratio (the B18CR is 1.59, so that can be considered as a good ratio that the stock sleeves can take). Anyway, I've never even had the opportunity to hold a K20A piston in my hands so... :(

I've read that the K20A(R) has an almost square bore and stroke, which means the rods are 86mm (around there) as well.

Anyway.. personal question of mine which has no relevance whatsoever to the above.

How tall are the K20A sleeves? <-- just curious because never see inside of a K20A before..(O_o)

dcloo,
prolly u wanna ask Jacky or JC Motorsports/AMOIL....coz i remember i haf a fren who dumped i n d K20A 86mm pistons into his Bseries block(can't remember wether its a B18 or B20).....n ran w no problems....duno wat rods tho....

i saw in front my eyes the b20b block can fit the k20r 86 mm piston+b20 rod
just rebolt the block to 86 mm n block guard its safe to use up to 9k rpm

but i'm wonder either the k20 R piston+rod can fit to b20 crank
just wonder how its going if can be fitted in b20

cause im planing to project b20 block
but dunno which was the better way of rojak m'sia boleh

block guard can allow 9K rpm? you sure ah?

I think you saw a 9K B20B engine with a block brace.. Spoon and SS works makes them.

86mm overbore ITR pistons also a good choice what.. somemore, it's coated.

hello, can i know how much does a block guard for 85mm piston cost? With blockguard izit really effective for b20b?

k20a conrod can put in b20b block? sure aa?

this was the big question i wan to found it out now
lets says its can be... if was a big choice for b20b +k20 piston+rod = 2.4 storker kit on b20b.. should create 280 hp on wheel by calculation +-*/ of combination

b20 block + b18c-r internal + 86mm pistons +- misc = 254hp = 239whp with reputable management and tuning.....

Maximum capacity for a B20B is 2.3 litres with sleeving and crower strokers.. going the custom route, I don't see how you can create a big enough stroke to generate 2.4 litres without running into crank clearance problems or the fact that the B20B block isn't tall enough to accomodate longer strokes... There's supposed to be ways around that, but I don't think it's possible to do it in Malaysia.

But if you can do it.. I'd like to see & hear about it as well... :_:
