who is/what is jasma??? just got back from jfa sunway..custom made extractor for my h22a rm600 but jasma rm1500..so what the difference?performance?material quality?
izzit just like a brand or tuner or dunno la what 2 say.

Don't get confused. People sometimes think JASMA is a brand. JASMA is short for "Japanese Sports Muffler Association". Its a certification given to exhaust systems if they complys with certain standards they set. Don't ask me what the standards are.... but i would assume performance, quality, durability is looked at...

custom ones are hard to get "mendrel bent", where each time the pipe loops or turns, the diameter of the pipe remain exactly the same allowing better flow...

oooooo...ok..nvmd lor..just buy the custom 1..support malaysian product..haha..minivan don have nothing to do meh??c u all the time??ular?

correction a bit...
JASMA " Japanese Automotive Sports Muffler Association" lebih kurang ler....

crazy4honda.... currently don't have much work. just finished a project. so why waste all the free internet i get from offis... hahahaha.....

in malaysia we call sirim..

yeap, jasma is a organization maintening the 'standards' for exhaust in japan, jasma approved, just like sirim approved

juz read sumthing on the website..

JASMA stands for Japan Automotive Sports Muffler Association. They set rules and regulations on exhausts. All it means is that your exhaust is made in Japan and meets their 98 dba requirements for sound level. It's Japan's equivelant of CARB.

so thats all bout jasma?about the sound level onli??i dun mind if my car go 'praangg' hahaha..nvmd lor..to xpensive..1 more question..why sumtime i saw people balut their extractor ?if dun balut its still ok right?

Not sure of the accuracy of the information posted but just here to share.
This is from another forum these guys discussing exhaust muffler relating to Jasma.
read on...
--------------------------
For those concerned with noise, the type of muffler pan you buy plays a huge part. In Japan they have JASMA, this is the governing body responsible for exhaust systems. The majority of the tuning firms are members and the JASMA plate on the exhaust systems means if conforms to their standards, in terms of noise level, usage, and construction.

NOTE: Why JASMA? The association was formed to keep the Japanese governement from driving tuning companies out of business. By coming together they were able to get governement sactioning for their exhaust products. Meaning during the shaken (Japanese inspection) the car won't be faulted for having an unauthorized part. They also ensure production quality, train/certify exhaust personel, and stop false claims in advertising. Not all exhaust systems are JASMA stamped meaning they are usually circuit systems, however certain circuit systems are JASMA certified.

--------------------------

For an extractor's case I guess we all are mostly concerned about it's build construction/ material quality...meaning don't crack easily under high tempreture (especially those who wrap the extractor with thermal wrap - as adviced by mechanic dunno true not?)... the best bet for us here to look for one would be something trustworthy....something tested/certified by Jasma.... but the price difference is so just too god damn much!! bleeek!!! I wonder if there's any price difference at all for the same thing/item with and without the JASMA tag in JAPAN?? Malaysia market cut throat like sochai onli...

SIRIM goods are more expensive here in malaysia meh?? hmnnn.....

ooo... heat jackets/thermo rap... it keeps the engine bay cool by not allowing heat to escape the exhaust... remember, cool air into the engine means better performance. cool air has a higher density of oksigen, meaning better combustion. also it makes it not so dangerous to touch and do work around the exhaust. but heat jackets shorten the life of a exhaust as all the heat is trapped in the exhaust's body/material....

yeap, baluting will reduce engine bay heat but it will definately shorter ur extractor lifespan. Those that balut will faces potential extractor cracking problems.....

custom made=reliability issue
jasma=expensive...

haha..u guys make me pening..maybe better i just use the stock 1..and save my money to buy...hmmm..mmm...mmm...suggestion any1?
