installation costs

hi all sifus.. i would like to know the normal price for installing my ICE... i hav a comp set n 2 amps ready to install.. how much it would b for wiring n installing the whole system? 1 amp is for my comp set n another for my sub which is oledi installed last time..

oh ya.. 1 more thing.. my door panel hav to drill to install the mids so will it be more expensive?

Different car also different charges... u have those cable? the big power cable and rca and audio speaker cable? those are quite expensive also.....

I wish to DIY for my coming installation but i dont know where to attach the REM (switch to power on) for my amp ...... :(

the installation charges varies..... depends on the RCA cable, speaker cable, power cable, fuse holder, fuse, distribution block, some cutting charges, some wood charges, labour charges...
try to go a few shops n ask for quotes.....

your HU should have a remote cable.....usually blue in colour..... wire it up to your remote terminal at the amp.....
use a multimeter to check

u have to go to the shop personally and ask for quotes.... go to few shops to do comparison

if just install the item, normal charge is RM30 per items. but that doesnt include if needed to do extra thing to mount the speaker

if u manage to get cheap cable, probably only the cable would cost rm80 or so........ labour charge cheapest also rm30 for only simple wiring....... cutting hole, etc also additional charges. depending on the shop experince and quality of their job.

Are you in JB? If you are, I know of a place near New York Hotel thats rather reasonable. The shops name is Max Audio(same row as NY Hotel, as you turn in after passing CITIBANK, immediately on your right).

I was there 2 week ago coz my fren wanted to install a set of components (SGP Plates some more) and total bill came up to RM55 with custom wood fittings on the door. Neat and nice, no complaints.

Perhaps you can get a quote from them?

I did mine at ML,

Front comp spk, rear spk, sub, hu, digi cross, two amp, installation labour and spk cable..
Cost me RM220

RCA and fuse box all use back.

just did my front speaker, amp, wiring and tuning yesterday at ACP, SS2. the whole installation cost me RM 280 and almost 5 hours but it was worthwhile coz the guys did a good job. wanted a good reliable installer who uses good wires with tidy wirings and installation.

i know its a bit expensive but i've had experience with bad installers. they do a quick job but u just got to look at his workmanship and wiring. messy and he went to the extent of fixing my components terbalik. when i fade the speakers to the left, sounds are coming from the right. was really pissed off man.
