install abs system to ej

wanna ask here, can i put abs system from ek4 jdm to local ej....
btw the ej is fitted with dc2 96's heart n ecu

is there any complication that may arise..... or anything extra that i need to put in?

plz help.....wanna make my ride safer......

I suppose local EJ's come original with ABS. Its standard in my EJ though.

It's not standard on EJ, some don't come with it.

i have full abs system taken out from my dc2 la.... abs pump, break pump, and all required hoses and relays,

if u think this is safer can give me a buzz....

zul, try to look this b18c5's abs system... maybe can match with ur dc2 system.
btw, anyone here can confirm how the abs works? i mean is it the abs controlled by the ecu or by the abs controller itself?
let say the hafkat din come with the abs n later i install the abs.. can it simply be plug n play without any modification?

abs is not controlled by ECU....it has a seperate abs controller

If u cannot feel, then either u dont have abs or ur abs didn't kick in. Try stomp on ur brakes and u will feel ur brake pedal lift up abit and go down and this keeps going until the abs stop functioning....

depends la... abs was made for a reason....... if u dont hardcore race and do hardcore stopping abs is good for daily driving,.....in a case of emergency breking would help u steer away from danger cause your breks dont lock up and u end up skidding into the accident
(thats if u don;t knoe if when to stop breking for non abs cars)....... but in the case of hard breking, some people feel more in control if the do their breking themselves(no abs_) because they know the limit of their breks....

so it boils down to the fact that why do you want abs???.....if does in a one way or another make it safer......

my car no abs...so hafta do the abs effect manually.....tiring ler sumtime....but it is worth the effort, time and cost to install abs to non abs-equipped car kah?...

abs calculate every rotation of each ring hide behind ur disc/drum brake by each sensor will send data to abs ecu
the ecu will control the abs pump which making maybe 10-100 (depend of system running)time of brake then release then brake again on caliber when locking wheel
if u taking from others car abs ecu+sensor+ pump+....
make sure install problely n reset ur abs ecu if not the system was not working n running like normal brake

how to reset abs ?
send to honda malaysia of some foreman who know to do that

how test working ?
just try emergency brake n c ur brake pedal

note (not confirm modification to others car type will run or not)
example : dc2 - ek/ej will working or not
