IHI VF10 vs Mitsu TD04

Not for the sake of starting a flamewar, but just interested in some facts.

Erm.. things like which spools faster.. which one higher CFM...

hmm...

spooling alot depends on turbine housing size...the smaller the faster it spools up....

higher CFM wud be the TD04HL (HL = High Flow)

TD04 normally comes in 5 or 6cm2 sizes...hmm...the VF10 is about 5cm2...come to think of it...the TD04 should outflow the VF10... ;)

well not really lar...there are many other IHI turbos u can hybrid fer ur case...

since u didn't mention that u wanted to upgrade urs till now... :lol:

alot also depends on ur budget... ;)
by far the best bet fer B8 wud be the RHF6 ball bearing turbo taken from the BPD210....excellent turbo...and best part is...it fits perfectly well on B8 !!

the entire series of TD04 and TD05 is not the same...hance 05 is bigger than 04... ;)

so TD04 vs 05 is not an apple-apple comparison... :D

With great power comes great lag... i know the RHF6 is capable of roughly 300hp at the wheels, if you try hard enough.

Actually i'm trying to push the limit of a vf10 turbo setup, so i'm not looking to upgrade. Was just asking for curiosity's sake.

Battousai : U runnin B8 with VF10 ? Can share how u did your turbo instalation ? Bore the inlet / outlet ? Or exchanged it with the stock B8 turbo ?

Or better yet, can recommend which workshop to go for instalation ?
