How to check faulty fuel regulator

Anyone has any idea on how to check a faulty stock fuel regulator...??

My guess is how your engine pulls usually, as in, if you've set a pre determined pressure, some how, you know your engine's powerband, so if your regulator is not performing, you might not be able to high rev your engine..even if you could, your car might not be moving much..simply because you're running lean.
