Would like to know how many bros out here is either having 7A engine conversion done or experince with 7A engine. I do have some question needed sifus help here.

yeah, i 100% agreed with it. the torque was simply amazing. even in the final gear, u can feel the diff. however, this is my problem. As u mentioned it loses breath abit due to long stroke, mine wasnt abit. its hell alot.
it was pulling amazingly all the way till 4500rpm but after that it started to lose it breath. it just wun go anymore after it reach 5000rpm. Well it will go but damn kao slowly and my speed meter isnt climbing as well so no point.
im still using back my stock 4AFE throttle body and ECU. could that be the reason? my mech suspect could be running lean on that high band. what do u think?

no idea..should settle all ur ecu, fuel system first, then u go trouble shot..
nothing is easy as u just swap the block then u got the gain.
FE head is not for racing, the most u can go is 6krpm on 4afe, with longer stroke now it wont rev as high as 4afe does , it cant breath enough air at high rpm.
turbo10 said:i think it needs more air.y dun u try to fit the 7afe intake?when we done the 20v, we also faced the same problem..and got knocking summore..we swapped the injectors to 1jz's injectors and re-adjust the fuel regulator, adjust abit the campulley..the problem gone..but not all because it still loses breath around 7800 upwards..but better than loosing as early as 5000rpm.at last quicker than before...much quicker.felt relieved because before settle it seems like it;s a mistake changing to 7a..but now really satisfied.y dun u try tuning using wideband sensor..from there u'll know wether it's lean or too rich..just my 2 cents
