Hard to say bro...it all works on radio frequency like your walkie talkie...all 2 way alarms are using this.

An example is even on the 18th floor of a high rise and i can roughly see my car below (closed car park) I can still communicate.

In Carrefour Subang Jaya...park in the basement....going up to where Carrefour is still can get signal....

So have to test the situation lor...but overall the range is not bad....especially when the car is triggered. :)

Best to call us for a demo and you can judge for yourself. Thanks

wah meaning king leopard/dragon's signal is much better than king lion? my previous one is like... car park basement, 2 floors up, walk abit, kenot liao :P

That's one of the main reason why we chose not to distribute King Lion :)

Product quality comes first.
:)

It depends on the material of the building. Sometimes even when you are standing at the other side of a 2 storey shop lot, and your car is on the other side... u get no signal at all.

Also sometimes when you leave the door open, and you accidentaly press the arm button.. guess what? The door locks ( with door still ajar/open ), but the alarm never rings  By right the alarm should have been triggered.

hmmm mayb u should check back with them for tat?

yalor....different material wil made a difference too.....but i when into a wrong floor (1 flor higher) to look for my car, when to the same spot then tot wrong, tekan the panic button n my car below me actually sounded! n tat is a standard proton alarm

Yup all depends on building material....

For Radiostar if the door is ajar, when u press the communicate button it will let y know...icon appears... :)

what if installed in a tinted car? will the range reduce greatly? anyway to deal with that?

Hi Kenji,

You car tint will never affect the range at all. Its more of the surroundings that you are in....Nothing to do with the car....you can have bullet proof windows and the range for communication is the same..... :)

really curious bout the range.. coz i live @ 13 floor.. it's useless if cant reach me in time if anything happen.. ermm.. mayb we can arrange a demo at my house????

hi white_bird,

you can contact us at 012 666 7256 or 012 508 0281.

Cheers

how about if parking car in midvalley megamall...go shopping still get the signal mehhhh...? coz u know midvelly nowdays not save anymore..many cars was stolen inside there...very scared loooooo...

unlikely coz the signal needs to travel across open space. if a bit of buildings yes but to penetrate so many levels its not possible.

but again it all depends where you are, some areas it is still possible

my personal experience in Mid Valley.
I parked at below Boulevard. Went to Oishi Sushi to makan. Can still get signal there. I guess if you are not far from your car and even if you are 2 - 3 floors above you might still get it.

If you parked at one end and you are at the other end then maybe not.

maybe next model of radiostar alarm system u can upgrade by using GSM signal.. need sim card and put it in the remote...the signal like a hp..no worries anymore, maybe more cost on that..just my opinion..

ya ya! aggreed with you. use same concept on 3G technology.

BTW, what kind of frequency does Radiostar communicate over? Or does it hop as well? I'm asking cause I have Wireless Lan and Cordless phones all over my house and it might interfere with anything in the 2.4GHz to 5Ghz range.

anyway of using other gadgets to improve or boost the frequency
range at the main unit's antenna ?

anyone try or not?? :P....

bro,

We need to test it to understand what you mean. Will you be in PJ anytime soon? We would like to find out where the problem is and correct it.

Thanks.
