erm..need ard 800w to push the sub wor...sony can?even the mtx road thunder 404 mono block cant push the sub..

Not Sony, I don't think is capable to do so, anyway you can try Agako, but is burst your budget already. If not mistaken, is around 1200-1600....

me from sibu la..if miri..i think not so much prob la..now i found one amp liao...jst hope it's strong enough lo...Mohawk 800W 2ch..if cant....will use 900W monoblock lo...sigh..thanks to every1 who replied

refer at the T81244A 12" Subwoofer ... help is very much appreciated..as i m an ICE noob

look at the spec la... i think a 300W rms bridged 2ch amp will do the trick liao... you are into SPL or SQ? if SQ i think you dun need so much power as too much power later you end up jus listening to the bass only.... if you are into SPL then the prokick DG1200 will do a great job on them...

The sub only requires around 400W RMS. Look for a dual channel or monoblock that can support that. If you have upgrade in mind, get amps that can produce more than that (400W RMS).

erm...the mtx road thunder 404 cant power it at all...even a JBL amp..which is capable to push two JBL woofer olso cant push it to perform...tried already...

erm... did you bridged the connection? how you connect it? makes me wonder why do it takes up so many raw power to power a sub woofer? from my experience i only need a 200W rms to drive a sub nicely...

404 mean 40wrms x 4 ? erm.....i got a prokick 2ch amp sec hand for sell, if u interest can pm me..it's a prokick F1-400...400rms..currently use it to power my lanzar 124D which is 250RMsx2...no prob.....

no idea bout how they connect it..as it's being tried in my fren's car..as he's also usin the same sub as i m...erm..i m a noob in ice...how to say bridge the connection..

bridged connecttion is two channel connect to become one channel... the speaker wire wire one connect to the left +ve while the the other one connect to right channel -ve...

hope this helps... cheers...

for hard hitting sub i usually look for an amp with double the rms power needed for the sub, so i guess u should look for an amp that can give u 800W rms. this should be in mono 2 ohm mode, since your sub is DVC4ohm. so the amp normal rating is 400W mono 4ohm but 2ohm stable. some good 2ch amps can also do the job.

a quick look at the mtx website, a few amps u can use are TA8502 (750W @ 2ohm mono), TA7801 (800W @ 2ohm) and TC8001 (800W@2ohm)
