help!!! Fast Idle Control Device FICD

any one on this forum know where location of this thing????
i used 4age black top.... problem of my car are when air cond on engine like going die... and timing going down from 1200 to 500... WTF.... anyone can help me please................................

Hai........ I have this similiar problem too....even if you adjust it , the same problem will come back too. Low RPM like dying, then suddently just died...

try service ur throttle body..infact..i think BT dont have dis FICD..all r controlled by d ECU..just my cent

the problem maybe due to faulty ISCV..which control idle RPM and aircon function..and do check the A/c idle up vale VSV.met this problem before here in sabah...manage to fix it and now my car idle perfectly

if it happens only when the aircond switched on,then most probably its your idling valve..its serviceable but would be best to get new ones...

yes, nnik is right, blacktop doesn't have a/c idling valve to control.all is controlled by the ecu and sensors. my mech tried to solve the problem. but still the same. ermm... how to say ah...

he tap a silvertop adjustable idling valve on my blacktop. yes it can control the idling. can set the idling when a/c on to around 850-900. BUT when a/c off tat time, idling is 1400-1500. niamah.... same thing jugak.

which means everytime the a/c on, the rpm will drop. pening pening...

if all the solution mentioned above does not work,try to change the plug cable.it works for my stock seg but i how about bt,u may borrow other bt owner's cable to test.

you may try to ask your mech and see... btw, idle speed control valve (ISCV) is located on the left side of the throttle bodies.

i changed another (ISCV) taken of bt halfcut,idle even worst,switch back to old (ISCV) smoother idle.notice that ISCV are adjustable,thinking change plug cable and new spark plug hope will works

i gonna convert my car to BT also but after i see tis post macam BT manyak problem kat the idling valve..really no way to fix it ??? coz later pulak my dad say i convert a junk engine ...then hai lat lah.....

really? you notice that ISCV can be adjusted meh? afaik, BT idling cannot be adjusted one. only SVT idling can be adjusted.
