GUYS...any haltech user got the software version 7.17 or 7.07 for the E6k ??? or do u guys know where can i download it....coz i bought any second hand haltech and tested with version 6.34 ..it cant work..:baring_teeth: .. and refer back to the seller it said it was the latest version of the e6k...which mean,izzit running on version 7.17 or any other version??? To all sifu sifu, might to help up... "it's suffer to own a haltech buy cant use it...:cry_smile: "

what problem u facing now?....wording out or can not online with lap top? E6K only got one version of software (version 6.34) and can use it for every new or old E6K, unless it not an E6K.

window xp problem with E6K online, even haltech it self also cant solve it. reformat ur laptop to window 98 or read the forum in haltech web site. i solve my problem and run cheat on window xp for E6K online.

last solution, bring to haltech dealer in sunway, ask them tune for u..hehehehe...

bro cyilaw,basically, my problem is cannot online with my laptop....and pretty sure is not the laptop problem...coz the laptop is using for tuning car only...can be connect for other e6k ecu..... but only my ecu cannot be connected...and i tested the ecu before i bought ..is working set.. so, don u think is the software prob.

and i wasnt in kl....tat why i cant bring to sunway to check it... and the ecu was previously tuned by amoil...and i cant get the software from them as well...

btw, i think e6k got few version of the software...coz we did try a lot of the software to get connect to other e6k as well...even the original software come with the new set...also not compatible for it....and yet need to search online for the sofware...and according to my fren from kl... my was actually consider the limited edition of e6k...is the enhanced model before the new e6x released...so, i reallty confusing with all the info i get...

somemore, my haltech sticker infront of the housing is not red color...is pink color one...and the design is totaslly different...so, wht can i do ?? hahah :)

yeah bro...last time we bought a new set of e6x and also facing the problem where the software not compatible with the ecu.. ..then when we refer back ..they said it wasnt distribute from them... (actually was bought from link) ...end up we search online and try one by one....

E6X i think it Red sticker rite

E6K Runing DOS mode
E6X running Window mode

you sure you got E6K not F5 or so whatever ?

When you buy ecu, or car with programable ecu, please ask for software and cable, after all, you pay for it.

I' m not Professor of Ecu but if not mistaken, E6K got v.7.

My fren car using v.7. He tried to to tune with a v.6 laptop, it won't open.

The software need to download v.7

Haltech Australia protects their authorize dealers. If not, everybody will have the software and the authorize dealers will close shop.

I think software will be provided when you purchase new E6K from authorized dealer.

I believe Slj bough a 2nd hand E6K unit.

Oh, i see. The software will be provide if get it from the "NEW BOX"

In that case, slj must call or get from the "owner".

Or, may be the price only for ecu and software not included. With software may be price will be higher.

Or, may be slj just brought the car with special "BOX", Haltech.

the owner also bought second hand...but tuned at amoil.. so, i bought from him when he taking out the ecu from his ride....

my E6K also with pink colour in front, connect with version 6.34, no problem...and i purchase it a year++ before E6X launching...y dun call and ask the local haltech dealer?

i did contact the dealer...they want me to provide this and that (such as the serial number..the bill of purchase..and etc..)so many thing...i just bought any second hand ecu man...how can i provide such stuffs for them...

then they said they cant do anything and ask me to refer back the seller... i guess they don want respond for anything coz is second hand stuff lo....

or i pay some money for the software if really come across to the business trading matter...
